Icons and Icon Stuff for InsaneJournal

I finished NaNo this morning. The book isn't complete by any stretch of the imagination, but I hit the 50k and I'll keep on going until it's done. I have a small amount of faith in myself that I haven't had in a long time where my writing's concerned.

As for my unintentional run at RPWriMo, if I count Draco's app and all, I'm fairly certain I smashed through 30k days ago. Quite possibly even without the opus of Draco.

I'm so tired, but I feel accomplished. Now I'm going to go fight some Black Friday crowds. Because THAT is so sane, right?

Somebody I watch recently (within the last month or so) posted icons of Nico Tortorella. And yes, I'm making my own set of him, but still... I'd love to know who it was. I'm like going through icon journals until I can't see straight and just not finding it, and going back through my flist is just way way way too sloggy. *sighs* And I don't think it even goes back far enough.

Once again, iconning Make It or Break It is like taking a vacation. No weird lighting, lots of good caps, easy to make the icons look awesome. I've got a lot of them to crank through and hopefully I can do it quickly.

After I investigate why the children are still up at 9:30...

These icons are taken from caps I found online for HBP, mixed with images culled from Googling Tom Felton to find images of the right age and image. These range from OotP and HBP, so he's around 20-22 in them or so.

Finally convinced this movie to cough up SOME decent icons. Now off to find other images. I'm still boggled by how few icons there are from recent years.

B&W feels like a copout, but at least solves the blotchy skin problems. It's the graininess of the quality of the image, under all that mood lighting.

I am surprised and irritated that there is something WORSE than Dark Blue to icon, for lighting issues alone. And that would be HBP. Because OMG, the darkness! Everyone turns into pixilated ridiculousness after the light correction is done. It's like who turned Draco into a vampire? Man. This is just HIDEOUS. Some of these icons will be stop-gap icons until I can redo the set into something better because I just... I hate some of these. I really really do.

I've been busy and exhausted. Dunno why I'm so tired, I just am. I slept most of my two days off away. I meant to write. Heck I meant to get to the library to borrow some of my suggested reading. Instead I made a cake for my sister, slept, and started a knitting project (which does take hours for me cause I keep starting and restarting it until I have something halfway decent on the sticks).

Somewhere I found the energy for reading posts and internet games. I responded to a few, but meh. I'm in a mopey tired mood for no reason. Hopefully this week at work won't be as hard as last weeks but since we're swinging into Christmas season I don't hold out a lot of hope.

I feel like my brain has been fried.
