Welcome to icans, the PB icon/base community of myeveryday! I created this community mainly for posting the various sets of those silly 100x100 graphical squares that we RPers use for our Body Models (pbs). I may, from time to time, announce that I've posted graphics (non-rp) over at Triumphdesigns on livejournal, but not very often. You're welcome to check it out, though. I will also post the occasional banner here, but I'd still love it if it was used for RP. However, if you'd like it for personal use, that's fine as well.
Rules
1. I know it might not seem like much to some people, but making these take time and effort, even if they are just bases. Firstly, there is the hunt for usable pictures, then the cropping, and then the touch up, the uploading, and the posting. It is quite a time consuming process, and like most people, I'd love it if you credited me for them. Not only does it make me feel good, it lets others know that this community is out there, ready for their iconing needs. It's a simple process that doesn't take very long at all! The following graphical example should explain it to you:
If you are using a banner, a simple 'thank to <*lj user="icans"*> in your userinfo will be great.
2. Do you know how you get that wonderful feeling in your stomach when you find out you a get a new comment? Oh, you don't? Well, we icon-makers do. It makes us feel special knowing that someone is using our work. It also shows us that yes, there is interest out there, and yes, we should continue on with what we are doing.
3. Hotlinking. Blah, blah, blah. This one has been DUG INTO YOUR HEADS, I know. But it is a serious issue. There isn't really any need to hotlink icons, because the journal sites host them their selves. If you use a banner, though, I usually upload those to imageshack, so you can use those links. If it is uploading to something like Photobucket or Ripway, please upload to your own server.
4. Don't say you made the graphics you get here. That's just disrespectful, and if someone else wants some of my work, they really won't know how to get here. So, just say that you got them from me, yeah? Rather than that you made them. If you alter the bases, that's fine. Claim them, but please still direct others back HERE, because the originals were posted HERE.
5. I hope I didn't sound overbearing on these. Really, they are pretty simple rules to follow. Mostly, though, I want you to enjoy my work, have fun RPing, and come back for more!!
