I just read the very beginning of a Klaus/James fic. Accidentally of course, because I just was perusing this Eroica fanfiction archive (and actually stumbled on some pretty good ones) and didn't notice that it was a Klaus/Others until I skilled to the end. Then I was like "OH MY GOD BUT KLAUS HATES JAMES!"
It made me want to cry, that is after I blew my brains out.
I am usually quite amenable to alternative pairings even if I don't know them.. but Klaus/James didn't rest well with me because it in fact is very much reaching (Dorian/James isn't.. Klaus/James, well it is.)
Now I need a good dose of Klaus/Dorian smut to banish the mental image completely.
In the sims game I am playing, Dorian has a habit of watching Klaus while he showers, and making a 'grrrowl' sound. It's because he's checking out Iron Klaus's iron ass. It was still amusing when I caught him doing it. Yes, Klaus is a fine specimen of a man, will be even more fine of a specimen when he reaches 'physical perfection' that can only be attained through martial arts. |

I can't remember what I'd intended to buy. I just remember that somehow underthings became something to bump up the price for free shipping. And then the underthings disappointed me.
Oh how they disappointed me.
Next thing I knew I was on an online search for underthings! And I checked Hanes.Com (They're having a sale like whoa) And I just bought myself 23 pairs. *glees*
I feel pretty. Oh so pretty. I feel pretty and witty and GAY!
Electronics buying, freaks me out. Underthings buying apparently equals total uncontrollable smiling, glee and squee. Then again I found stuff everyone liked.
EVERYONE.
Do you have any idea how rare that is?
There really wasn't much compromising, I just doubled the things everyone liked the most cause -SALE- and when would this alignment of personality ever happen again?
Huh, I might even call my mother so as to BORE HER WITH MY GLEE and make her listen to me go on and on about the pretty.
Oh yeah and the Tigerdirect stuff got here last night and I opened it, and I think I'll see how I'm feeling when the cleaners arrive/leave in terms of hooking up the electronics.

Well, would you look at that. It appears the HD I bought is coming at just the right time. Because I apparently have a virus and my attempts to get rid of it, has resulted in my firefox bookmarks disappearing, an inability to use system restore (though seriously can anyone -actually- use system restore? Feels like it won't work at the slightest sniffle).
And actually I appear to have had the virus for several weeks now. I just thought I'd accidentally done something to settings to totally hide hidden files and folders. But no, there's actually a hidden files and folders virus and mucks with registry etc, etc etc...
Have managed to find my bookmarks using search (bookmarks*) and saved the pages so I can maybe try to import them or do something manually or who knows. They're there at the very least. Not quite sure my attempt to save my session folder will turn out favourably - but I can handle that mostly.
I am really going to miss Foldermaker which makes my life so much easier. There's supposedly a freeware version, but I'm unsure if it has everything the GOTD version has. Still when I've done the whole 'fixing hardcore/reverse time' thing, I'll dwl and use it because colour coded folders (with icons) helps make things better.
In other news:
Could not find chocolate ship, walnut cookies. And I couldn't look more than two places because that'd use up a lot of spoons. But really Superfresh? Still they had Pillsbury 'New! We Took Out All That Crap We Put In & Now We Have An 'Organic' Decour Line!' And it was on sale. So I get to have fresh cookies, when I go to bake them, without high fructose cornsyrup and a whole lot of BS.
Did I mention the sale? So I got regular chocolate chip and then paid too much money on walnuts (which I will attempt to stick into the cookie rolls before baking) and I got peanut butter. Kept seeing Danish Butter Cookies everywhere. And yes, they are also 'Xmas/Seasonal Cookies' but chocolate walnut chip brings up much stronger emotions and memories. (Maybe I'll pick up a tin for new year's).
Cleaners show up on Thursday. Arrgh. But I got lead in time and just have to load the dishwasher, basically and then get out of their way.

As mentioned on my Twitter, ran into a total bookworm in the library. I was all 'ooh, the #1 woman's detective agency' and she was all "oooh, The Ward Chronicles' (That's The Last Apprentice/The Spook's Apprentice to all y'all who don't know).
And then she was all 'Yay Vampire Academy.' And I was all 'Huh?' And she was all 'Succubus Blues' and I was all 'With the tail and horns and the geek in the basement!' And she was all 'Yuh huh!'
It went on like that for quite a bit, in fact she walked me to the grocery so we could talk more. And then in the middle of it, she went 'Oh, I hope you don't think I'm stalking you, I just live surrounded by people who don't get why I read'. So of course I gave her my email.
There was Twilight snark 'Fade to black! Vampire baby. WTCrap?!' And also murmurs of stamina admiration. She's tried to read Pullman 2 twice and is still trying.
Also, odd thing? It is less hurty to be recced a book with white protagonists by a black woman discussing the story, than to randomly pick one up off the shelf myself. But also? Voracious reading Dinocorn in the Wild.
I can't wait to tell her there's a whole damn herd. |
