Hi everyone, I'm Richter and this is Police Constable Nigel Unwin, the astonishingly incompetent inspector-to-be with the terrifying ability to conflate fantasy with reality. He's hoping to be THE Constable of the Wanted List, though I presume that would first require the permission of our lovely resident freelance writer? :D

He loves to meet new people and frustrate them endlessly with his maddeningly ridiculous inability to accept reality for what it is (not for longer than a couple of minutes, at best), so please, feel free to toss him your lines and random encounters!

Hello my lovelies! I'm Kathryn and thrilled to join this game and find it already started! I'm currently limiting myself to a single character (we'll see how long my self-control lasts!). Meet Isabelle Virginie de Valmay; she is a vampire, but likes to think of herself foremost as a product of the Enlightenment and an intellectual. Spoiled, mostly amoral, and used to getting her own way in life-- not much has altered for Isabelle in her new existence. She is something of a hedonist, and so far mostly oblivious to the politics of the Council.

I'd love to have a human or two that attracts her notice. When she was alive, Isabelle acted as a patron and muse to artists, philosophers, and scientists and thinks she can continue on in this role. Exploring the dynamics with other undead characters would be great as well, I suspect her considerable sense of self-importance might grate on more than a few of them. I'm still mulling over other possible lines and would welcome ideas!

Final one for now for Roz

Joseph P. Horrigan is a newspaper man and believe me you will be reading his column. Joseph used to write about his travels which took him all over the world and the strange, often macabre things he saw there. Since his return to London however he has been following a new line of enquiry, one into the undead.

Joseph has had some experience with the undead before. A risen creature murdered two of his friends before Joseph was able to dispatch it, and their deaths were subsequently ruled to be the work of an unknown assailant, the case closed quickly to avoid embarrassment. Joseph knew what he saw that day, and the creature that attacked his friends might once have been a man but was not human.

Now with this new monster stalking the streets of London and killing innocents Joseph is not about to sit idly by and accept the official version of events. He is determined once and for all to reveal the true evil that lurks in the heart of the city and he will use his column to force both parliament and the people to listen to him. It’s not just the monster though that Joseph is hunting. He is more than ready to kill any undead creature that crosses his path.

Storylines:
A fight with one of the undead.
Forming some sort of counter society to hunt down and destroy the undead.
Discovering a human member of the council and threatening them with exposure.

Hello my new best friends =)

I am so incredibly excited to be involved in a Victorian-era game you have no idea! Who am I exactly? My name is Ally, I'm 22, recently graduating University and I live in Scotland of the UK. I am also in love with my character's default icon. Anyway there's nothing really more to be said about me, so I shall introduce my person here without further ado-

This here is Libby or Morena, depending on how you know her. Mortals, humans, know her as Libby in her little London shop. Supernaturals know her as Morena, a life-line to many who offers her super services for a fee. Morena is a very powerful witch, whose family raised her on a farm with the belief she was destined to be something akin to Jesus or "the chosen one". Her mother was the daughter of a very rich man and his family who believed themselves to be cursed - when Morena was born she was abandoned with her real father, the son of a farmer, and a long line of witches. Now, THIS family was poor and unerpriviledged - but they hadn't had a female witch born in centuries so Morena, to them, was like their second coming and she was given every opportunity available to make herself what she is today.

After becoming a very powerful pixie Morena is now 93, works as a seamstress by day and a conjurer/seer/general practictioner by night (sometimes the morning too). However your darling characters know her, one thing is for certain - she is STRANGE! (for a number of reasons)

So, I would love plot, and storylines, and all manner of connections. My AIM is MinorKeysInMusic and it's so much easier to ping me there. LOVE!

EDIT! Yes, she's also a member/leader of the coven of witches... so yay :)

Roz, again, with her penultimate character.

Beth Downing is a fake medium. Since she was a little girl her grandmother told her she had the ‘sight’ but Beth had never had a visitation or spoken to any spirits or the like. What she did discover though was people would pay handsomely to hear the things they wanted to hear. She left home and travelled the fashionable spots, teaching herself ways to deceive and how to create fantastical displays.

Beth doesn’t have much of a problem in using her looks to help her out when her natural showmanship is failing and she’s partial to men with deep pockets who like to spend lavishly.
Now back in London she’s about to have quite a shock as she realises she’s not quite as fake as she thought she was.

Introduction

Jon again, with a new character I would like to introduce you all to. Yes, I know I'm greedy...

Lord George Edgar, named after his father, is a politician. He was destined to be as soon as his father died, but he did not ever expect that the man would one day be gone. Looking back now, he supposes his father never will truly go.

Any questions? I would be happy to discuss plot points or relationships with anyone who is interested in having any shared storylines.

Second character for Roz here, Adith James Lloyd.

Adith is twenty-one years old and the only surviving member of his family. Although he would appear to be perfectly normal and mundane Adith has, since the death of his parents and his own near-death experience, been able to see traumatic visions of the future. However, his visions are often incomplete or untrue and he finds it hard to know which are real or not.

While his guardian was alive Adith was kept inside and subjected to any number of tests or treatments to determine his sanity and even now Adith is not sure if everything isn’t really inside his head. Since his guardian's death Adith has neglected himself and his family’s home, devoting every waking hour to find the people he sees in his visions and saving them from their fates which he believes is the purpose of his visions. As you can imagine all of this pressure and constant closeness to death has left him high-strung and fragile. He doesn’t make connections to people easily. Currently he is unaware of the undead, believing that they are part of the falsehoods his visions sometimes throw up.

There are a few ideas I had for Adith that will become apparent when the game opens, and I would certainly be open to creating a screened post where people could suggest things they’d like for him to see that could further facilitate plotlines.

Hi, I’m Roz and this is the first of four characters I’ll be introducing into the game. Mariella Rumianova is a vampire and the head of the most influential family of vampires with a seat on the Council. Turned nearly 200 years ago by her close friend Camilla, Mariella is something of an ice queen. Although she enjoys collecting beautiful boys and girls to make her family she quickly tires of them, always on the lookout for the next one to turn.

Mariella does not have much time for the other undead on the council, especially the werewolves whom she finds too passionate for her tastes. She is slightly less dismissive of humans but only because they provided her with a food source. In light of the recent attacks she has been trying to strengthen her position on the council and forge a more lasting alliance with key families, ensuring that should something happen it would be the werewolves who were turned against and not her or her ‘children’.

Edit to say: I forgot to talk about storylines.

Mariella is always on the lookout for new servants who she and her family can feast off, in exchange for payment and the possibility of becoming a vampire themselves later. As it is Mariella feeds once a week and prefers to keep a special, singular servant for herself. So there’s lot of possible plotlines there with someone gaining employment, discovering the fact that they’re vampires or being sent knowingly and hoping to make a deal for eternal life.

She also could very easily decide that someone of any class was pretty enough to join her family and begin stalking them or trying to tempt them to join her. This person could be male or female.

Hello there

Hola! Ciao!  Haai!  Um, that is about the extent of any other languages I may know.  Actually, I know more for hello and whatnot but we just won't go there.

To introduce myself, hmm.  My name is Mindy, I've been role-playing for roughly for about eight months now.  I am in another game that I'm active in, but believe me I won't neglect so no need to worry.  I'm new to the InsaneJournal role-playing, so please be paitient with me as I try and figure this all out.  I do know it's a lot like LiveJournal, but there are a few oddities that I'm sure I'll have to acquaint myself with.  I'm sure I'll catch on quick.

I play Julia Fernsúlfer.  Her father, Isiah Fernsúlfer, is head werewolf-the man in charge.  He was also born werewolf.  Her mother (whom I don't think has a name yet) was born human and was changed into a werewolf, thus making Julia and her two brothers a delicate mixture of werewolf and human.   Julia is stubborn, strong willed, feisty, and sure to have a temper, as well as being a proper lady.  Unlike her two brothers, she has embraced both sides of her heritage, bringing them together so she can fit into both worlds easily.  One brother it seems as embraced the more human side of himself as the other has embraced the werewolf side.

She disagrees with her father on a regular basis, and the one thing she will be in total disagreement is him picking out her suitor for her to marry.  Understanding that her father will do this only to make a stronger alliance, she will not be keen on not having a choice of her own.  I also see her as possibly falling into a romance with someone who is not the suitor her father picks out.

And there you go.  It's not much to go on, but it should help a little bit.  If you have any questions, feel free to post here or email me on my journal.  :)

Oh, I almost forgot.  I have AIM if you would like to talk to me there.  My screen name is mumblingmayhem

Edit: I am also in the states and run on Central Time

Hi All!

Hello Everyone!

I'm Jon and I play Isiah Fernsúlfer on [info]hydepark_corner. He's the head of the werewolf faction's primary family, which makes him the werewolf equivalent of a lord, and in regards to the other werewolves living secretly in London, what he says goes. Well, it's supposed to. In his younger days he was known for his violence and temper, and its because of his deliberate actions that he became head of the werewolves, having seen off or killed his brothers and half-brothers in the process. Under his father's rule the werewolves had become animalistic and brutish, living as wolves more than taking human form, and Isiah has made some movements away from that.

Any questions you would like to ask about Isiah please go ahead, and you can contact me via the information on this insanejournal post.I have another two characters in game, waiting in the wings, and will be introducing them over the next couple of days.
