Mariella stiffened, the young man’s words having made her feel quite disgusted by the glass in her hand and she looked at it with some mistrust. At least blood was mostly pure. True, there were those infections which clouded it and tainted it but one could avoid those by arranging to obtain virgins. She set her glass down, pleased to be rid of it and its ever reminding colour and instead fixed her eyes on the small twosome who had made such a commotion.
