Venturing Out Who: Ashley, open Where: Inside the city, exploring When: March 18th (week three), around noon
Status: In progress Summary: Forthcoming
Ashley had procured a weapon (if one considered a baseball bat a weapon - for now, she certainly did) and a flashlight, and a few other necessities. The most necessary ones were in the backpack she wore on her back. The ones she didn't need all the time had been strapped behind Peter's saddle.
Peter was still with her, and while she was grateful for his company, she was regretting her decision not to leave when she'd had the chance. She'd been scared, true, but was that really any excuse?
After a lunch of vending machine fare (some chips, some Twinkies, and a warm Coke), Ashley set about exploring the city. She had her bat in one hand, her hair done up to keep it off her neck and - more importantly - out of her face. She was wearing her backpack in case she couldn't make it back to Peter before dark. She had on sensible hiking boots and jeans despite the warmth of the day - she'd managed to scrape up her leg when she'd worn shorts, and she'd counted that as a lesson learned.
Bare shoulders were slightly hunched as she manuvered over a pile of rubble, mounting a slight rise to look around, to get a feel for the lay of the city ... and to see if there was anyone around here.
