About this Journal
This is a community for people who want to write about or create art of the werewolf characters in the Harry Potter books. This includes Remus Lupin and Fenrir Greyback, of course--but what about the unnamed werewolf in hospital with Arthur Weasley during OotP? Or Bill Weasley, whose life has been affected by Greyback? Or the Montgomery sisters, whose brother was killed by Greyback--what if they only pretended he was dead to hide the fact that he'd become a werewolf? Original characters are great, too!

Gen, het, and slash are all welcome here, all ratings G through NC-17. Fiction, poetry, art, filks, crafts, bring it on! We're adults, we can play nicely.

Title: God Rest Ye Merry Werewolves

Pairing/Characters: Harry, Fenrir, Hermione and Kreacher
Wordcount: 3625
Rating: G for gen (in other words, completely work-safe!)
Warnings: None
Disclaimer: JK Rowling and assorted others have rights to create derivative works within the Potterverse, but I am not one of those licensees, unfortunately. Rather not be sued for playing with the characters, though . . . not making a profit here, just exploring the characters and situations created by the esteemed Ms. Rowling.
Summary: Harry returns early from Christmas festivities at the Burrow
Author Notes: Occurs after Wolf at the Door. The Yule Log is a NYC tradition, where commercial-free Christmas music is played on Christmas Eve by area stations -- the original TV station that started the tradition used to show a burning fireplace for the video portion of the show.

[info]iulia_linnea wrote me an absolutely scrumptious ficlet, Training a Pet, as a consolation prize of sorts for having bid in her auction for Live Long And Marry but not succeeded as the winning bidder. I thought other members of this community might enjoy knowing about this story.

This is a very in-character Fenrir, full of rage and resentment at not receiving the respect he feels is his due, and what he does in order to get it. I loved the subtle power dynamics of the relationship too and how she approched my prompt, "Fenrir wears bunny-slippers."

Yay for Fenmione! :F

Dave Legeno

Dave Legeno has been cast as Fenrir Greyback, according to his management company's webpage. You can see more pics of him here in this article.

Speaking only for myself, I think he's a most drool-worthy choice for the Wizarding World's bad-boy werewolf.

[info]the_con_cept wrote the most fantabulous Christmas-themed Snenrir ficlet for me, Christmas Condiments, with the prompt I had given her of Mistletoe and plum pudding are not usually part of a werewolf's Christmas celebrations -- especially if said werewolf is Fenrir Greyback. I thought I should let other folks in this community know about it, as it is simply scrumptious.
