Hi everybody!

Thanks for coming on over from

portus_envy to the newly named comm,

hpconenvy where the only thing different is our name!

Convention season is upon us and many lucky fans are getting ready to head out to Leaky Con to squee and party and discuss Snape...erm... I mean, their favourite HP characters, scenarios, and pairings to their fangirls' (and fanguys') heart's content.

Am I the only one with Leaky Con Envy around here?

There's just one cure I know for these blues--let's have some fun of our own.

Suffering from Leaky Con Envy? Well, we've got the cure.

You may not be going to Leaky, but that doesn't mean you can't have any fun this week!

As thrilled as we all are for our fandom friends who are enjoying the festivities in Boston (and really, we are thrilled), that doesn't mean that those of us who are missing it have to miss out. Instead of sitting around and feeling sad and allowing IJ to slow to a crawl this week, why not channel all that frustration into some fabulous creativity? There are tons of talented people who won't be at Leaky this week, and if we put our heads together, we can entertain one another quite well.

Last summer, when

bluestocking79 and I set up

hpconenvy (formerly

portus_envy), this community was flooded with fantastic drabble, icon, and art challenges, offers of promts, and other special projects to entertain us all.

Let this community serve as your nexus of entertainment. We aim to showcase all the challenges, stories, art, icons and more that are produced by your fellow Leaky outcasts. Offering to write custom drabbles for those with Leaky Envy? Post your offer here! Have you come up with a fun game for others to play? Post it! If you're moved to start a special project, write fic, create icons, drabble or drawble this week, then please feel free to post a link or announcement here, so that others can see it and enjoy. The more people that get involved, the better!

So if you're looking for a good way to pass the week, looking to commiserate with fellow fans or are interested in meeting new and different people from all corners of the HP fandom, then come surf hpconenvy and see what's going on!
