Farewell Address and We Bring You ICONS!
Whew! Wankfest 2008 is officially done, and my goodness, did you people wank! Earlier this week we got a call from the HP Fest Oversight Committee informing us that Wankfest was dangerously close to going over its Erotic Emissions Allotment, and fines might be involved. (Apparently there's a Regulatory Commission. Had no idea.) We managed to convince them that we were quite finished, that all surfaces had been properly cleaned and all characters safely returned to their normal habitats, albeit some of them were limping a bit.

We'd like to heartily thank everyone who made Wankfest a success; and by "success" we mean "produced gobs of exceptional art and fic, everyone had fun, and the mods are still alive and (mostly) sane by the end." So, to all the artists and writers, the talented people who made wonderful icons, and especially to everyone who read, commented, applauded and made recs... THANK YOU! Everyone has been so generous and easy to work with that the only kind of "wank" we had to deal with was the good kind! (Ironic, isn't it?)

As if the joy of participating in Wankfest wasn't enough, you also get ICONS! These are for the use of Wankfest 2008 participants only. Take as many as you like, but please credit appropriately (see below for that info) and note the use restriction in your user pic comments. Comments would be much appreciated, and we'd love to know which ones you're taking. Obviously, we gave some nods to various prompts and a few entries whose humor simply could not go without comment. ;-) (We do hope the writers and artists take it as the compliment it's meant to be, and credit is noted where appropriate.)

Again, our thanks to everyone who helped make this such a fun fest. Writers and artists, you are now free to post your entries on your own journals and wherever appropriate, and we certainly encourage you to do so. ARTISTS - When you post your art, please send us the URL! Our image hosting service has a time limit, and we don't want your art lost. (Email us at wanking_mods@gmail.com, or you can comment here if you like.)
