Author’s Notes: So this was very heavily inspired by Regina Spektor’s song "Samson", and you will find the lyrics used as poetry in between sections of the fic. I don’t know if this makes this a “songfic” or not, but don’t let it deter you please. I hope you like this. The war continues on in this fic and doesn't end during the year of Deathly Hallows, so you could call it canon-compliant up to HBP.
