Happy Springsmut, olivers_ace!
Author: [info]idea_of_sarcasm

Title: There Are No Constants
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Hermione/Fred (Hermione/Ron)
Disclaimer: All Harry Potter characters herein are the property of J.K. Rowling and Bloomsbury/Scholastic. No copyright infringement is intended.
Summary: All but death can be adjusted, but even then sometimes there are exceptions
Warning(s): DH canon compliancy - and, no, not in the necrophilia sense, lol – and no adultery either. Compliancy with most of JK Rowling's interview canon, though in all this I may be as inconsistent as she is. Easily evaded mild torture, and non-violent character death mentioned. Smut that is only secondary….
Word Count: Lots. Also known as ~40,000
Author's Notes: Much thanks to the moderators for giving me the extension I hardly deserved. And to those who looked it over for me – if anything is wrong, it's because of me entirely (it's somewhat unfair asking to read over a novella on short notice). [info]olivers_ace, I hope this fulfills your request satisfactorily as I couldn't fit everything in, though I tried for what I could. I did so want to be able to give you your OTP, even if I have an annoying tendency to want to work within canon, so this is what resulted – the plot bunny of doom.

*shivers*I had chills all through reading this, and yet the end was really the only way it could end, bittersweet and poignant.

I know *sigh* - I wish there had been some other way to end it though. I'm glad you liked it though, despite it not being entirely uplifting :)

Wow! Really excellent plotting, and I *loved* your Hermione. And...*sigh*.

Excellent work.

Thank you :) (and thank you especially re: the comment on the plot, as it got a bit more involved than I usually do for fic exchanges!)

Ooh, I loved the way you explained Rose's name. But wahhh, Fred! That hurt. Really hurt. But I did love how you kept it all canon-compliant. Oh, and the reactions of all the Weasleys about Fred's coming back. Especially towards Hermione. It rang very true to me. Lovely story, I enjoyed it a lot!

Thank you so much! (even though if I'm honest, the 'rose' explanation was last minute inspiration, lol). And, I'm glad somebody besides me appreciates canon-compliancy :) Thanks for the feedback, and I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
