 Life can change in an instant. One second, one inch makes all the difference. 25 March, 1998; everything changed. After breaking the taboo on Voldemort's name, Harry, Ron and Hermione were captured and taken to Malfoy where they were only saved with the intervention of Dobby, the House Elf who was tragically killed. What if not everything went according to plan? As Dobby gripped Harry's hand, Bellatrix Lestrange hurled her knife across the room, one second earlier. It struck, one inch to the left. As Dobby collapsed, Voldemort arrived and Harry Potter was plunged into the hands of the Dark Lord. Now, it is nearing the end of 1998. Life has flowed on with little to disrupt Voldemort's puppet Ministry. For a time things seemed calm, as the Ministry slowed changes and life started to return to normal. The Golden-trio is only marginally closer to solving the puzzle of victory than they were immediately following their beloved Headmaster's death. Muggleborns have been rounded up and held in cells at Azkaban. Those under the spell of the Complacens potion remain content with the government, but there are those who are beginning to fight it; those few that are beginning to build immunity to the potion and are assembling secretly underground. Where will you be when the world as we now know it burns to the ground? Will you continue to live under the draconian rule of the Dark Lord? Game opened on July 30, 2010.  CHARACTER LIST • PB LIST • APPLICATION • RULES • WANTED CHARACTERS Liberalis A Post-Warts, Non Deathly Hallows Compliant Game By the spring of 1999 the Trio had collected and destroyed all six of the Horcruxes and they set out to find the Dark Lord hoping to end it once and for all. At the climax of the duel, Harry gained the upper hand and Voldemort, knowing he had seconds left, used his last lifeline: a time turner. With the fall of their Lord, the Death Eaters abandoned the battle and it appeared to the wizarding world that their greatest enemy had been defeated. Unknown to them, the time turner had brought Voldemort into 2002 where he was already gathering his followers and one more Horcrux still remained. Voldemort had unknowingly created another when he had killed Harry's parents and attempted to kill Harry. The newly shattered part of his soul was transferred into the infant when the Dark Lord cast the killing curse. The New Year of 2003 would be marked with tragedy. The Dark Lord would announce his return at the Ministry’s Annual New Year’s Ball where innocents were attacked and dozens were slaughtered. In the aftermath of the battle, accusatory eyes turned to the once celebrated hero; Harry Potter. Overnight the news spread and people began to feel again the terror that had yet to fade completely. Over the next few months the Ministry worked around the clock to assure the people that this time wouldn’t be like the last; this time they should place their trust with the government and not in the hands of an adolescent hero. The Ministry’s demeanor became one of confidence. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had struck out twice already and this time the situation would be handled properly. Voldemort had other plans. On June 23rd the Ministry of Magic fell. Trust and security was shattered when Voldemort and his army entered the Ministry building, having been given access from within. Death Eaters and dark creatures alike swarmed through the structure, destroying everything in their path; among the dead was found every member of the Wizengamot including the Minister of Magic himself. Once and for all the Dark Lord proved what he was capable of. With their Headquarters in ruins, the Ministry has been forced to relocate and is scrambling to come to terms with their losses and what it meant for the future. Wizarding Britain looks to the future with little hope while the Trio desperately search for the missing piece, knowing that if the Dark Lord had returned that their mission had not yet been completed. In 1975 the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters conquered the Ministry and placed themselves at the pinnacle of society. In 2000, life remains the same. The old Death Eaters and their descendants make up the elite. Corruption is rife and, anyone foolish enough to question their actions, will find themselves dead or charged with treason. Blood is all important. Everyone in society is forced to register their blood status, which is the critical measure of how they can live their lives. Muggleborns are exiled and purebloods are heavily favoured in every aspect of the new nation. The once effective Order of the Phoenix is only a fraction of its former self and has no influence. The old members are now on the run or attempting to merge into society, while their old leader has been dead since 1980. However, there are cracks appearing. International condemnation for the Dark Lord’s government is rising with tensions looming over a confrontation with France. War seems almost on the horizon and, the once abandoned Order, view it now as their opportunity to fight again against an enemy it has been unable to fight effectively for decades. Welcome to Pure Society a game designed to explore the lives of only purebloods (with some exceptions) in this new world. After the seventh year, comes the eighth. Voldemort has been defeated, the dust has settled and everyone is working hard to rebuild their lives following the end of the war. One would think that it would be a time of peace and healing... But not everyone is pleased with the demise of the Dark Lord. For he was a leader, and what's a leader without his followers? These followers didn't just disappear after Voldemort's death, no, they only went into hiding. Recruiting from their position in the shadows, the remaining Death Eaters are targeting the younger generation in order to restore their population and finish what they started. Those not aware of the darkness still surrounding them are going on with their lives as best they can. Only time will tell if things are really changing for the better. Or perhaps the world is merely being led into a false sense of security. |

The students of Hogwarts were thrown into that change without warning. As the new year began Headmaster Snape proved to be just as nasty as he had been as a teacher. The employment of the Carrows siblings brought on obvious alterations to the school's interests. With the implementation of a Dark Arts class, the rebirth of the Inquisitorial Squad, and the new found form of physical punishment, students were asked to choose sides. For it was believed that cleansing the youth was necessary to preparing them for the Dark Lords new order. And what better place to start than Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? This Purgatory is a DH compliant Trio Era game starting halfway through October 1997. Here we look to explore Hogwarts in all its darkness. With plenty of plot laid out for every month leading up to the final battle, you will be able to play your characters in a unique setting. Rebellion, of course, will not be tolerated by the current staff. Yet, there are a few who have chosen to fight. A few who look to right the wrongs of those who currently have the power. | In 1995 the world is changing, and not everything is the way it has been in the life of Harry Potter or his friends. Fifteen years ago the Potters placed a Fidelius Charm upon their home with the help of James Potter’s best friend Sirius Black. It was because of this that Lord Voldemort never discovered the location of the Potter home, thus, Lily and James Potter were very much alive. Also hidden, the Longbottoms avoided their own ghastly fate. Harry grew up in a loving home under the protection of the Charm and is far from the poor boy that he once would have been at Privet drive. With his parents around, Neville was not coddled, but loved and became well balanced early on in life. Upon entering Hogwarts, Harry soon learned the world was not exactly as his parents and uncles had made it out to be. Neville was pleased that everything was what he had hoped for. In the years since Lord Voldemort’s disappearance the Wizarding World had become a place of tension and strife. Wizards that were Pure-bloods were looked upon with suspicions, Half-bloods were being shunned by both sides for not being on one side or the other, and Muggle-borns were vanishing before they had a chance to even attend Hogwarts. In this world the Order worked to protect the Muggle-borns and get them out of the country for their own safety. The Aurors arrive after the attacks and have the gruesome job of cleaning up. No one is sure who leads these attacks, but everyone suspects the socialite Bellatrix Black Lestrange and the fair Lord Lucius Malfoy. The Ministry of Magic is split in two. When the current Minister, Bartemius Crouch Senior, came into office he led the largest dark wizard hunt of the century. Unfortunately, his wide nets caught up the blundering or the stupid but allowed the slipperiest of the Dark Lord’s followers through, including the Minister’s own son. Barty Crouch Jr, still firmly in under the direction his Lord went on to work for his father at the Minstry. At the beginning of the 1995 school year he was inducted as the current Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. The Ministry is rife with the corruption of the Death Eaters lying in wait for their Lord’s return. Their day is here and now. If the Order cannot handle it, if the Ministry is too subverted to control it, then what are the two Prophesied Children to do? It is up for Harry and Neville to hopefully rise to the occasion, for the sake of the Wizarding World |

Unlike other games based on a no-war environment, Euphoria Lane provides mod designated events on a local, national, and international scale, so there will always be a plot to follow, alongside in-depth character development. We've also made it very easy for new players to catch up!We are looking for motivated and creative role-players, who are willing to put effort into making the Harry Potter world as real as possible, through quality writing and original storylines.
