Failed attempts is a Harry Potter displacement game set in an unknown location run by unpredictable magic, in an unknown time. Canon characters (from the Founders through Next-Gen) appear from any point in their natural timeline and are forced to co-exist while everything around them remains uncertain. The opportunities are truly endless.

 Hogwarts 2010. Under Quarantine.A deadly virus has passed from muggle to magical blood. Millions are dead, the muggle world has come grinding to a halt. The worlds's witches and wizards turn to save each other. Hogwart's heavy wards keep them safe and no one enters without scrutiny and months of testing. endgamemods| Following the defeat of Lord Voldemort, the wizarding world came into a Golden Age. For 15 years the realm was filled with peace and invention. Even those who carried the burdens of the war began to heal as they saw the better world they were fighting for. It seemed that all was well. Except they were wrong. In the shadows where no one was looking something far more sinister than anyone could imagine was waiting. What is coming will make Grindelwald, You-Know-Who, and the wills of all those other monsters seem like child’s play. Endgame is a dark, post-Deathly Hallows game taking place in 2013, that will diverge from the epilogue canon in the books. The game will be plot driven with plenty of opportunities for character growth and will by its nature have a predetermined endpoint. |

 When Penelope Clearwater was elected the youngest Minister for Magic in 200 years, she was considered a bit of a wildcard, really. Despite that, her first year in office passed uneventfully enough - trade restrictions were tightened, broom traffic was regulated, that sort of thing. And then, on the first anniversary of her being sworn in, Minister Clearwater stepped out into the bustle and noise of the Ministry foyer and announced the dawn of a new age: the age of Muggle Integration. Unbeknownst to anyone but a circle of her most trusted advisors, the Minister had used the previous year to begin work on a project near and dear to her heart. As a Muggleborn witch, she had experienced both sides of the Statute of Secrecy, and come to the conclusion that it was a relic of the distant past. To meet the future head-on, she explained, the wizarding world would need to seek collaboration with the Muggles. In the autumn of 2019, three years after that remarkable first announcement, the first step - a test run - is finally going ahead. Hogwarts has been opened up to a small number of Sixth Form Muggle students. They will live like a Hogwarts student, getting sorted into a House, taking meals in the Great Hall, and attending some classes with their magical peers. They will mingle, and bond, and hopefully grow to trust each other. The idea is that, if teenagers can do it, anyone can. The program has been termed the Muggle-Integration Cooperative Experiment, or M.I.C.E. |

A new generation has come to Hogwarts filled with students who are full of life, ready to figure out who they are.
This game is for writers who want to develop an original Harry Potter character! The game allows you to develop your character through interaction not through your own character development journal. You can see exactly how your character would interact to various situations as they come to life in your brain. We want to write and have fun, while developing new characters. The application process exists not so we can pick your character apart, but so that you have the opportunity to outline who you see your character to be while giving the voting staff the chance to ask you questions that will help to develop your character.
Players are expected to be able to create their own plot ideas and any and all ideas from players are welcome. However, we do provide weekly challenges for those all too common writing blocks. We hope to see you soon!

» It's 2011, and you're stepping into another decade. The worst thing on the horizon as far as life is concerned might be the fact that the knob who's two cubicles down from you is about to steal your promotion right from under you just when it's within your reach. Or maybe that person you never liked in Hogwarts is now your boss. Your girlfriend is itching for you to propose, because damn it, you're thirty, or almost there (even if you don't actually want to admit it), and you've been together long enough as far as she's concerned that you two should take the next step. Just as easily, you could be investing in yet another dress robe to add your closet, always the bridesmaid but never the bride. The kids are driving you just a bit crazy, you and your spouse argue too often, and the love of your life that you've never really gotten over has moved on. Then again, it could be that in the past thirteen years, you've managed to not reach even one single goal you'd initially set for yourself when you first stepped out into the world and called yourself an adult, which... probably sucks because your best mate is almost equal to the dictionary definition of success. But, you know, even still all is well, right? HA. « |

 Strange occurrences have begun to happen. Witches and wizards begin to disappear from their time and reappear in the muggle London, England. Some will remember their lives as a witch or wizard, others forgetting. What's even stranger, is that they have a life in the muggle world. Even if they remember their life at Hogwarts or in the wizarding world, they have a job, life, sometimes even a family in this "new" muggle life. Things are not alright in the muggle world either. Strange accidents and disasters have been reported throughout the U.K. that cannot be explained or fathomed. Could this be the work of He Who Must Not Be Named? His followers? And can those who remember their lives in the wizarding world come together and remind those who have forgotten? Welcome to Remember the Forgotten, an AU Harry Potter RPG. For almost three decades Lord Voldemort threatened the Wizarding World and Muggle World alike. He went from being one of the most powerful Dark Lords ever to almost being defeated by a baby before rising once again. He spent much of his time recruiting the other races to assist him in the destruction of the Wizarding World. Harry Potter and his friends put a kink in his plan however and defeated him, saving their world.
Or so they thought.
With the absence of Voldemort, some of the other races have been biding their time, building their own armies so as to rise up and declare wars of their own. Will the Wizarding World be ready for another attack? Will an unfamiliar foe succeed where Voldemort failed? Only time will tell….
The year is 2019, it's been twenty-one years since the Battle of Hogwarts when Harry Potter defeated The Dark Lord. Life has gone back to normal for the survivors; if being a Wizard was normal to begin with. But then again has life really gone back to normal for everyone? The Trio and their friends have children of their own now. Have they taken after their parents? Are they the complete opposite? It's now their turn to create their own stories.
This is a Third Generation, Canon based game. It picks up two years after the Deathly Hallows Epilogue. Didn't like the Epilogue? That's ok, neither did I, but here's your chance to create your own Epilogue.
