The Year Above is a long-term game which follows one group of Hogwarts students through their school career and beyond. We begin in 1990 with our young people starting Hogwarts and the first year (the year before Harry Potter attends Hogwarts) will be mainly a social game, with events becoming darker and more complicated in later years as we follow the timeline of the books. How will they react to Harry Potter starting Hogwarts? Muggle-borns being petrified? A crazed killer being on the loose from Azkaban? The game emphasis is on character development and will provide the opportunity for a truly representative experience of the rise and fall of friendships, the highs and lows of growing up, and how 'ordinary' people are affected by war.

OFFICIAL OPENING is SEPT 2ND!

notWARTS RPG is a multiverse Harry Potter Roleplay game. Characters can come from a variety of different worlds. The only constant is that Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry must exist in all worlds. This way all worlds are unified and linked in a distinctive way. The school must have been founded by the four founders. It's usage can vary. The differences between worlds can be a matter of a divergence due to choice or variation due to a chance difference. One thing could be different. Several. Some part of history could of played out differently. It really and truly could be anything. We only ask that it's reasoning be sound.

All characters arrive at notWARTS via the notWARTS express. They will awake on the train with their journal. They could of been pulled to this place during any moment of their lives. In their hands they will have their acceptance letter which contains their House, Housing and a few other necessary facts to help them get started.

There is peril ahead. Mystery. Reward. Bliss. Danger. All things are part of notWARTS. Are you prepared for the unexpected?

All types of lines are welcome. Dark and otherwise.

Anyone knows the Hogwarts Live Online RPG? Anyone wants to give it a try? Good, cause I need some referals to get to level 10 (of first year) to get some *site points*.

Then please use this link: http://www.hogwartslive.com/r/yumesora, and create an account, and advance to level 10. The text-based rpg is fairly simply, yet addicting. The FAQ will tell all you need to know.

You can have up to four concurrent accounts (but you can't refer yourself, thus the plea here), so if s.o. is already over there, they can still help me out. ^^

This will take less than a days' effort, and only a few in-game days (1 in-game day = 2 real-world hours)as the number of turns one can take per interval is limited. Gaining 3-4 levels per interval is easy.

I use up my turns within 10 minutes. x3/x4. So not much time overall is actually needed. ^^ Even if you drop out again its fine for me, as long as you reach level 10 (of first year)!

The year is 1977. Voldemort has been gaining power and followers, but for the most part Hogwarts has continued to remain sheltered. There have of course been questions of disappearances and disturbances in both the muggle and wizarding world, and Voldemort has begun recruiting students from more influential families. There is no indication yet of exactly what scale all of this will eventually amount to, but things have begun to take shape, no matter how normal the Hogwarts staff tries to keep life at school.

Next to Normal explores the marauder era students as the world around them begins to get darker with the rising in power of Lord Voldemort.

I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

1977. The last year the Marauders get to be blissfully unaware of the events occurring outside of the castle walls, and act like teenagers. However, how long will that last? With Voldemort and his followers rising, attacks around the Wizarding Community increasing, will the students of Hogwarts remain untouched?

1977 is a canon based Marauder Era game, exploring the impact of the First Wizarding War on Hogwarts Students. Purely player driven, never before have you had so much freedom and say in the way your game develops.

Hogwarts 2010. Under Quarantine.
A deadly virus has passed from muggle to magical blood. Millions are dead, the muggle world has come grinding to a halt. The worlds's witches and wizards turn to save each other. Hogwart's heavy wards keep them safe and no one enters without scrutiny and months of testing. With only two children born since the Quarantine, drastic measures are needed to ensure that their world goes on.

Under Quarantine is a non-epilogue compliant, dark-themed, assigned marriage game. We begin with 10 apps.

The year is 1904. The Ministry has proposed that Muggle steam engines take the place of travel by flying coach. There are rumors of a Spring-heeled Jack in Hogsmeade, wielding foreign magic. Muggleborns are enrolling in NEWT classes on scholarship, without the benefit of a magical primary education. A centaur has attempted to assassinate the Minister for Magic for crimes against magical beings. The banking crisis continues, with goblins in sole control of Gringotts. The Hogwarts Michaelmas Hunt approaches, and there may be more dangers than gytrashes in the Forbidden Forest...

Begins 1st Sep.
The year is 1904. The second industrial revolution is sweeping the Muggle world, and machines are accomplishing feats only wizards could once perform. Goblins have control of Gringotts, centaurs are plotting assassinations, and vampire hunts are in full force. Colonists are returning from the Far East, Africa, Arabia, Oceania, and the Americas with new ideas and foreign magics. Muggle populations are expanding into wizarding areas, and more Muggleborns than ever are attending wizarding schools.

It is up to you, as a professor at Hogwarts, to decide which changes to embrace, and which might endanger the magical world.

Hallowed Times has been open and active since September of 2012. Just some of the big events that you've missed include:

• A Halloween Fair that included a controversial Haunted Maze
• The Internships where students partied with Rockstars, did a lot of paperwork and got fired for the first time.
• A Yule Dance that included a roving bunch of mistletoe.
• Hufflepuff Won the Quidditch Cup!
• Body Switch that had everybody in somebody else's body!

Upcoming:
• The Official Hogwarts Open House, come see the Weird Sisters!
• Old School Potion Plots! Was that a love potion just dropped in to the pumpkin juice?
• A few more parties. There's always parties.
• Year End. Where will your character continue on to?

[info]hallowed_times is an eighth year epilogue compliant game that follows the students back to Hogwarts for one final year of schooling where they are given the chance to relive being 'just students' before having to go out in to the world to become adults. The game includes overreaching plot, but also includes social interaction and the rebuilding of Hogwarts and the Wizarding World. Eighth year students have special allowances that include access to special education opportunities as well as the freedom to work jobs off Hogwarts Grounds on the weekends.

We are a non flashy game that focuses on the enjoyment of writing characters with added elements of plot.

A world of second chances in paradise.


October, 2001. Global nuclear winter. An accident with the Dark Veil and a Time Turner. A portal to New Zealand five million years in the past on an alternate time line. Muggles and Magicals work together to set up settlements on the island.

December, 2001. The Dark Veil is making copies of people from other points in time, as far back as 331 BC, and spitting them out five million years in the alternate universe past.

A Post-Deathly Hollows RPG


The Second Wizarding War is over, but life does not get on so easily. Students must prepare for an extra year of school. The Ministry and Wizarding Society attempts to rebuild. Captured Death Eaters are being tried fopr their crimes. But trouble still lurks, and those Death Eaters who managed to escape capture are not going go down without a fight.

From Ashes is a game that focuses on character development, writing and just plain old fashioned fun!

What if the Triwizard Tournament had not gone according to plan? What if it had ended shrouded in violence, unanswered questions, and with no definitive winner? Would you want the Tournament abolished for good or would you simply choose to forget and move on with your life? These decisions and more have plagued the Wizarding world for four long years...

Now, Alexander Yaxley has successfully petitioned to have the Tournament reinstated and it will be taking place over the course of the summer at Hogwarts along with an International Quidditch camp. On the surface it is a tactical move by the Ministry to further relations and promote bonds between the International community but appearances are only half the story... A hidden desire and need for retribution are only half the story.

One thing is for certain the Triwizard Tournament is bound to be explosive in many ways... Will your character choose to enter their name or will they want to just be a spectator? Have they been blackmailed to help with the quidditch camp or are they participating in it? Or will they choose to aid Yaxley in his quest for retribution and to create a new Dark regime? Where do you begin to fight an evil you never knew existed?

At the beginning...


These times are dark indeed. In the year 991, fear - of the unknown, untrusted, foreign - runs rampant through the newly-strung-together kingdoms of England. With the long-continued Danish raids and the burgeoning threat of Norman conquest, lives are expected to be both brutal and short. That's, of course, if you're not cut down by black magic first. To say that magic is feared is to drastically and dangerously understate. It's not simply feared. Rather it and its ilk are ruthlessly hunted down - those suspected of dabbling in such are barbarically put to death. Magic and all it encompasses is to be squashed out entirely.

There are survivors, however. There are those with magic in their veins who seek to change this dark and savage world into something better for themselves and others. There are those who seek to segregate themselves and their society, to push those of "thinner blood" back into their own cruel world of witch burnings, executions, and ransom. And, although none of them knows it yet, there are those who will, indeed, create something - someplace - that's never been seen and that will stand more than a thousand years to come.

But that light has yet to burn. Blackness still shrouds England, the only reprieve brought by the bright, ever-present flames of witch burnings.
