Your girlfriend is itching for you to propose, because damn it, you're thirty, or almost there (even if you don't actually want to admit it), and you've been together long enough as far as she's concerned that you two should take the next step. Just as easily, you could be investing in yet another dress robe to add your closet, always the bridesmaid but never the bride. The kids are driving you just a bit crazy, you and your spouse argue too often, and the love of your life that you've never really gotten over has moved on. Then again, it could be that in the past thirteen years, you've managed to not reach even one single goal you'd initially set for yourself when you first stepped out into the world and called yourself an adult, which... probably sucks because your best mate is almost equal to the dictionary definition of success.
