Times change and people grow. From war blooms peace and prosperity; from a time of constant vigilance and violence comes forth an era nurtured and protected by its past to walk a road that can only head towards a brighter future. Twenty-five years after the war while their parents are off correcting past errors, the children are out and about creating new ones.

Harry Potter is still revered as a hero, as the one who defeated the Dark Lord but as the denizens no longer lived in dark times, he’s seen more as the man who revolutionized the Auror Department at the Ministry. Still, his legend lives on, though his life is no longer the focus of the wizarding world. The Ministry for Magic has also cleaned up its corrupted lines and now focuses on promoting the welfare of the people as led by Percy Weasley.

Welcome to the year 2023. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry still stands strong and stable as the day it was built and always as magical. Children of the previous generation are the ones that run the school now, pranks have gotten more devious, and competition has only increased. Allies and enemies are formed left and right and while House loyalties are still as strong as ever, the strongest rivalries exist elsewhere.


Game started on April 18th!

Most Wanted: Lily Luna Potter, Dominique Delacour-Weasley, Hugo Weasley, Rose Weasley and many more! We would especially love to see more Hufflepuffs & Ravenclaw quidditch players and a __ Smith as quidditch captain! We'd also love bullies, geeks, extremely dorky, eccentric kids!

the plot.


It is the year 2004 and the world as the wizarding population knows it is about to change. On August 10th, wizards around Britain will feel a strange pull drawing them to Diagon Alley, London. Few will manage to resist the pull, but many will not. And at 3:00pm on the dot, it will happen. The ground will shake as if in an earthquake and in the midst of the ground tremors, a loud "BOOM" will echo around Diagon Alley. The witches and wizards in the Alley do not know it yet, but they are trapped and there is no way out.

The magical wards that keep Diagon Alley safe from Muggles will- for reasons no one can figure out- seal everyone into Diagon Alley. For the first few days those trapped will try everything they know to get the wards to break. But the wards will defy all efforts to break them and soon the new inhabitants of Diagon Alley will realize that they are, inexplicably, stuck.

Surely, they assure each other, we'll find someway out soon. But until then, what will everyone do? People need places to eat and sleep and somehow they must all find a way to function together. There is of course The Leaky for a place of residence and, conveniently, a new building of flats has just been finished in the middle of the Alley. Of course Diagon Alley boasts several restaurants that can serve the populace-- at least for awhile. But soon the food will run out and then what will they do? We're all about to find out. Welcome to The Alley.

PREMISE
The Durmstrang Institute was created for the magical instruction of Eastern European wizards. Once upon a time, it accepted all promising students who had magical aptitude, but now, any time that Muggleborns and halfbloods were ever accepted is a distant memory, in favor of rigid social classes and tradition. Students are ingrained with a sense of superiority or inferiority [one that often starts at home], a respect for tradition and appropriate social behavior, and most importantly a strong desire to succeed and to be the best. Students that graduate from Durmstrang are the most talented, the strongest, the brightest, and the best. The only question is...are you strong enough to survive until graduation?

Post-hogwarts game set in 2003.
Five years after The End and the wizarding world is beginning to move on thanks to the suddenly booming entertainment industry and the addition of a Knights Walk, the all new off-shoot to Diagon Alley. With the sudden addition of new technologies both muggle - hello, television - and wizard - journals? yes, please! - the wizarding world is definitely get a bit of a spring clean if you will.

Life, or something like it is a post-hogwarts game which forgets about the epilogue and lets you decide exactly how things pan out. Game wide plots can and will happen though each will be decided upon by the game as a whole, input from all players is welcomed and loved. This games centers around the entertainment industry - music, quidditch and the new fangled television and many of its plots will be entertainment geared.

If you're a dedicated, self-motivated player who is looking for a nice paced character development centric game which is not all war and politics then LOSLI maybe the perfect game for you!

It's been ten years since the fall of Voldemort and the Wizarding World is once again at peace. Beauxbatons, the french Academie de Magie, and the idyllic Wizarding town of Beauxcoteau saw very little of the war, but even their slight unease has passed. Things have returned to normal within the walls of the school.

Normal, but never boring. Death might not be hanging over their heads, but failure, humiliation and social ruin are. The students are struggling to find themselves, forge their futures and avoid the sometimes cruel atmosphere of school. They are falling in and out of love, trying to keep peace with their siblings, and attempting to live up to the expectations placed on them. And then there are the students who don't want peace, don't want to grow up and refuse to follow anyone else's rules. There are Quidditch games to win, dances that require dates and tests to study for. Normal? Maybe. Boring? Never.

Academie de Magie is a social game off to a great start. It's been open since the 13th and is very active. Welcoming new charries of all kinds. Males especially wanted.
