Graduation has come and gone, and seven months later, life after Hogwarts has commenced for the class of 1978. It's the dawn of a new year - one of life after Hogwarts, of responsibility, of adulthood.

And one of war.

In 1979, the war is no longer on the horizon: it has arrived. People disappear without warning, never to be heard from again. The Dark Mark appears over houses. Rumors and whispers are heard around every corner of giants, werewolves, inferi, Unforgiveables. And the question on everyone's mind - you are my best friend, I would die for you, but that doesn't mean I can trust you, does it? Nothing is safe anymore.

But it doesn't mean there is not a story to be told.

It is the year of 1997, and everything is going according to Voldemort's plan. Severus Snape is Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the Death Eaters are pretty much taking over every nook and cranny of the school. Students are terrified, and he has everyone right where he wants them - except for the one person who he wanted to keep his eye on the most. Harry Potter.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione are on the run, and have been for a few months now - ever since Fleur and Bill's wedding. They've been able to narrowly escape the danger of the outside world, but how long can this last? Especially when Kingsley Shacklebolt is about to be imperio'ed to enforce something new, something that will drive people to even more madness, and could quite possibly help Voldemort locate Harry's whereabouts.

A marriage law. Once a pureblood reaches the legal age of seventeen, they are to be put into the marriage program, and paired up with someone of the opposite affiliation to be wed to. Unless both parties and their parental figures object, and it is the Death Eater's side to want to decide against the marriage, they are bound by law to get married, and produce an heir within the first three years of their union, though it is encouraged to have a child within the first year of the marriage. They must be married within one year of the engagement (both of which have to be done properly), and have to live within the same residence within three months after the ceremony.

In anticipation of Harry Potter losing the protection of his relatives on his seventeenth birthday, hours before his death, Albus Dumbledore created a spell that could save the lives of thousands and change the course of magical history. It is a spell that on 31 July 1997, unexpectedly sends Harry, Dumbledore's Army, and the Order of the Phoenix back in time to the year 1978. There they are tasked with meeting up with the original Order, sharing the knowledge of the Horcruxes, and doing everything in their power to defeat the Dark Lord. Question is, will it be enough? And will the original members be able to handle news of their fates? Some discover they have died, others meet themselves alive and twenty years older, but they all have one thing in common: a desire to destroy Lord Voldemort.

Except there was one small glitch. They weren't the only ones sent back. Friends, loved ones, and enemies have also been sent back, and they, too, are armed with knowledge of the future. Instead of being the covert operation Dumbledore was expecting, it has turned into a race against time.

It is 1978 -- three years before Harry Potter defeats the Dark Lord, three years before Lily and James Potter die to protect their son, and three years before Sirius Black is framed for thirteen murders that Peter Pettigrew commits. But they're not just here to save their own lives. They're here to change the course of history.


The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

What if the Prophecy that made Harry Potter the 'Boy who lived' hadn't been given to the Dark Lord? What if a falsified Prophecy had been passed to him instead?

The year is 1995, When Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts. A few changes have been made to the staff over the summer, the most noticeable being the new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor; A Mr. Tom Marvolo Riddle. His new post is widely questioned by the wizarding world; The man has been convicted of murders throughout the seventies, why would Dumbledore hire him to teach young children? Dumbledore simply plays it off saying that he has applied "twice before". That he has not been able to be convicted of anything. Mr. Riddle has, after all, been studying abroad since the 1980's, and is very knowledgeable on his subject.

It was almost like everything was back to normal. The year before had become a distant memory as the students of Hogwarts returned to school with nothing to focus themselves on besides the every constant rumors that floated through the hallways, their social lives and, of course, actual schoolwork. Voldemort is gone, though some of his followers are still on the run or keeping to themselves to avoid attention. It’s almost as though it’s become another era, a happier one. Without a war to worry about, the student body keeps itself busy by paying closer attention to the latest gossip or scandal going around the school, passing notes or sharing comments through their journals. New friendships and relationships are made, and Hogwarts has never been quite like this before. Set in the trio's seventh year, RIDDIKULUS focuses on the school life and social interactions of the Harry Potter characters. We have a diverse cast, raging from those who thrive on gossip, to those who prefer to keep to themselves and their schoolwork, to the ones who love creating mayhem for the heck of it... and everything in between. → This game is canon up until HBP with details of the end of the war from Deathly Hallows. In May of 1998, the Final Battle against Voldemort was fought. In the aftermath, everyone is struggling to get on with their lives.

Imagine what would happen if Fred, Remus, Tonks and Severus survived. The Weasleys would be whole, but Fred has a long recovery ahead of him, and it is up to George to get his twin through it all. Remus and Tonks have their son, but have gone through a divorce, and need to recover before it can all be finalized. Severus is in hiding, and only Harry Potter knows he is alive.

Percy has returned to the Ministry to help get the new Wizarding government in place, while Bill and Fleur are having problems. Andromeda and Narcissa have survived losing Bellatrix, but can the two remaining Black sisters ever see past their differences now that Voldemort is gone?

The Death Eaters are in Azkaban or in hiding, while their families struggle with their assets being seized and their lives being turned upside down, and are faced with alternatives that they never thought would be choices to them. But will the Ministry do enough to bring the fugitives to justice, or will the Order have to serve a new purpose now?

Welcome to a post-war world where everyone is struggling to pick up the pieces and rebuild what was lost.

There are many questions. Where does the Ministry now stand? Will the remaining Death Eaters regroup and retaliate? Is the Order still strong enough to handle anything that may happen? Is St. Mungo's able to handle the number of casualties? What about those who want to see justice served against those who killed their loved ones, no matter the cost?


We are especially looking for:

Ron, Hermione, Neville, Daphne, Blaise, Molly, Arthur, any former/current students, Order Members, Dumbledore's Army Members, and Death Eaters. Many characters are free!


The game is compliant to Deathly Hallows with a few minor exceptions (contact the Mods), and is AU after that. The epilogue will not be followed.
