"April is the cruellest month, breeding Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing memory and desire."
The year is 2002. The fourth anniversary of the Second Wizarding War is fast approaching. The past three years have been filled with rebuilding and recovering from both the emotional and physical damage wrought by the war. The acting Minister, Kingsley Shacklebolt, has just come out on top in the most recent elections, the first ones held since the end of the war. He'll be staying in office another four years.
The public has been demanding that something be done to prevent events like the rise of Voldemort and the Second Wizarding War from ever happen again. Acting impulsively and at the urgings of his advisor Susan Bones, the Minister of Magic proposes the first of what will come to be known as the Bones Laws. A seemingly innocent blood census is just the first step in an increasingly oppressive campaign against Purebloods...

Impetuous is a Post-War RPG that focuses on the lives of Witches and Wizards four years after the defeat of Voldemort. Right now, the Ministry is in the process of developing and passing a series of laws aimed at insuring that the past does not repeat itself. The first law, a blood census, seems harmless enough. But the laws currently being proposed and developed behind closed doors at the Ministry are not quite so innocent. Susan Bones, adviser to the Minister, lost her entire family at the hands of Voldemort and the Death Eaters. Her motives, and the motives of other key Ministry officials, might not bode well for Purebloods.
