In the 1970s, a war had begun to rage throughout wizarding Britain. People disappeared, entire families were killed-- and the world was torn between Albus Dumbledore's Order of Phoenix and Tom Riddle's Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic stood nearly powerless to stop these massacres and the threat of a pureblood society taking complete control loomed overhead. A red scare suddenly ran throughout the wizarding world as the body count grew.
The tables turned when the Dark Lord received intelligence that he believed would seal the fate of this war. A prophecy about a child that would have the power to defeat him, and it quickly came to light that this child was born of Lily and James Potter. He set about trying to find the couple who had defied him three times, and dispose of their son.
On October 31st, 1980 the Dark Lord was finally able to find the Potters at their home in Godric's Hollow when Peter Pettigrew betrayed them. However, the Potters were not ill-prepared for the attack. Severus Snape had been able to warn Lily Potter of what was to come, and when the Dark Lord arrived that evening at Godric's Hollow-- he was not met with the happy parents and their child-- but the entire Order of Phoenix and an ambush. On that Halloween, the Dark Lord fell, and the wizarding world rejoiced.
Time marched on, and the world forgot about what had happened that Halloween in 1980. The families who had supported the Dark Lord were either jailed, disappeared or managed to buy their way into freedom with tarnished reputations-- but the Ministry of Magic and the Order of Phoenix managed to regain their hold and purge the world of darkness. The world was at peace, but the Dark Lord would not remain forgotten forever-- those true to him knew there were plans that could resurrect him-- but those plans had seemingly disappeared.
In a world that is falling into forgetfulness and repeating the past, where will you stand in this time of trial?

- characters - casted - application - In 1975, as Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs (better known as the Marauders, at least to themselves) enter their 5th year at Hogwarts, the wizarding world as they know it is slowly changing. Like the first touch of cool rain, dark whisperings are beginning to be heard among wizards, particularly those of the oldest pureblooded families. Something is coming - and as it arrives, the whispers will rise to voices, and eventually all wizards of the world will hear the echoes of screams. Dark Voices follows the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as they learn to adapt to a changing world. Making friends, forming alliances, standing for what they believe in, and all hoping that they will be left standing in the end. A new game with over 30 characters, Dark Voices is looking for some more Order members to balance out the Death Eaters, and more people from houses across the board. Hogwarts professors are also welcome.
Characters that we are in desparate need of:Bellatrix Black-Lestrange, Rodolphus Lestrange Regulus Black, Ted Tonks, and Peter Pettigrew.

Rumors of Voldemort's return are being whispered amongst the students, voices hushed and nervous as the latest bit of information makes the rounds. Fear has settled heavily on many shoulders, quickly bringing uncertainty and mistrust to an already divided school. Who belongs to which side? Are there spies amongst the students? What will happen next, who will die next? Can anything be done?

Many thought that the defeat of Lord Voldemort and his followers would be the end of evil in the magical world. Without a Dark Lord to rule, life would surely be restored and things would once again be peaceful.
Such a peace did exist for ten years. For ten years, the wizards and witches of England found happiness, rebuilt their world and lived the lives once overshadowed by a war. Students grew into their new roles and adults, new jobs were created, parents became grandparents and those who had been fighting for so long were finally able to lay down their wands and live.
But as with all peace, it was not to last. For where their is good, there is also evil. And the followers of Dark Magic could not sit by and let this peace go unchecked. There will still those who committed unspeakable crimes. The Wizengamont worked hard to remove these criminals from society to ensure that their new utopia remained. Azkaban was near capacity and the anger from these prisoners grew each day.
And then it happened. On July 20th of 2008, Azkaban prison was destroyed. A beast was brought from the deep sea to shake the foundation and bring the walls crumbling down. Those locked away in the prison were free, provided they could make it to shore.
News of the break out instilled fear once again to the public. Murderers, rapists and thieves were free to wreak havoc on anyone they wished. And the task of finding these convicts and returning them to prison fell on the shoulders of one department. The Department of Magical Law Enforcement. They would be responsible for restoring the peace to the world.
But after so many years had passed, would the magical world be prepared for the sudden influx of evil once more? And how would those who had depended on tranquillity survive now that evil had returned?

The year is 2001. Voldemort was defeated 3 and a half years ago, and the wizarding world is busily rebuilding.
The Death Eater threat has been eliminated, at least as far as the Ministry is concerned.
Relations between Muggle and Wizard have been a love/hate relationship. Integration has been the order of the day for the past year, but changes are on the horizon as attacks on wizards from muggles and vice versa have increased.
More strangely, those known to be dead have been appearing. While no one seems to know the rationale, no one can deny that it is happening.
Now, the Ministry is fighting two battles. One, to determine the future of Muggle and Wizard interactions, and the other to define where these dead citizens belong.
We are looking for vibrant characters with a thirst to redefine the wizarding world. Original Characters are welcome, but please be aware that certain rules apply.
This is an epic-style game. Plot arcs spanning months are welcome and encouraged!

Just For Kicks is a trio-era, Hogwarts based RPG that is - you guessed it! - Just For Kicks. It's all about putting the 'play' back into role-paying and having a good time. We are looking to add the following to our cast:
