Fri, Apr. 26th, 2013, 06:12 am atdelphi: FIC: "Save the Last Dance for Me" for thisaestus
Recipient: thisaestus Author/Artist: ??? Title: Save the Last Dance for Me Rating: PG Pairings: Poppy Pomfrey/Minerva McGonagall Word Count: ~ 3,5 k Medium:Warnings/Content Information (Highlight to View): * None*. Summary: Poppy hadn’t expected to find someone this late in life, but she was far from complaining. Author's/Artist's Notes: I have never written either of those characters as the main focus of a fic before, let alone that pairing, and it was interesting as well as enjoyable. It probably wouldn’t hurt to know Minerva’s secondary canon for this fic as I used it quite a bit. Otherwise it sticks to canon as much as possible and takes place mostly during OotP. Many thanks go to W for beta’ing and cheerleading and to the mods for running this! I really hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it, thisaestus! ( Save the Last Dance for Me )

There is therefore a considerable amount of Teddy in this fic, but I have tried, re your sign-up request, to not make it the absolute focus of the story. I hope the result works for you. Summary: How terribly strange to be seventy… ("Old Friends", Simon and Garfunkel) Author's Notes: tetleythesecond, I hope you love this. It's been a true labour of love. I'm so grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with these characters. I hope it's got enough realism - and theoretical magic - for you. To my beta T, thank you ever so for whipping this into shape at the last possible moment. You're a lifesaver. All remaining mistakes are mine. And finally, bethbethbeth, I thank you immensely for hosting this fest, for promoting unpopular characters, and for putting up with my terribly slow writing and revising process. You're a gentlewoman and a scholar. "Let Us Escape Our Troubles"( Don't forget to return to this post to leave feedback for the author!)

Mon, May. 9th, 2011, 02:14 pm beholder_mod: FIC: "Fostering Witch-Muggle Understanding" for songquake

Summary: One can learn a lot from a freak, Hestia Jones discovers, if one is willing to take the time to listen. Author's Notes: Songquake requested plot, canon compliance, homo/bisexuality, and collisions between the wizarding and Muggle worlds; the last prompt was absolutely irresistible, particularly when Petunia poked her nose into it. Hopefully I’ve done it justice here. I’d like to thank bethbethbeth for running this fantastic fest, my fandom-unaffiliated sister for telling me that "whirly blades" is not nearly as mellifluous a phrase as I’d thought (and giving me a much-needed prod to finish), and J.K. Rowling for making the whole thing possible. "Fostering Witch-Muggle Understanding"( Don't forget to return to this post to leave feedback for the author!)
