A nicely-chosen POV here – someone who knows Snape and McGonagall slightly, and respects them, yet can hold back and observe rather than becoming involved; also someone a generation younger than Snape, with a different experience of Hogwarts, the war, the refugee camp; someone who has a life after the camp, but for whom the two are in memory only, like creatures in amber, not part of the present. Stepped out of the world, and into one entirely their own. Mythic, and yet deeply human, as befits what they did in the war.
And your Miss Morris, with her ignorance, her inexperience, her British insularity and focus, is everyone who did not share those experiences. Someone who has no hope of understanding, and unlike a more mature historian does not yet know that she'll always be outside that experience.
