Oh wow. This is utterly amazing. Such a beautiful, vivid picture of the time and the world they were living in, real in a way I've not seen before. Broad, I think. The focus on the three different pairings and all the supporting characters give their world such a vivid tone, because they are al living the same events and reacting to them.
I cannot decide which pairing I like best, here. Every single scene is wonderful. All the characters a richly painted and the details are so telling. Molly and Arthur and the children and their eggs, Gideon brought to vivid life. The comfortable homeyness of Molly and Arthur's love for each other and the wonderful realism of life with three small children.
Minerva and Arabella, wow. I have never seen such a wonderful Arabella before. I absolutely love their whole relationship, that they are comfortable too but it is tinged with the strain of the time and the difference of their lives. Minerva is perfect - full of practically and understanding and just the right amount of dry wit *g*. Also, the entire Order scene is wonderful, and I love how you tie the scenes together by moving one character from the last into the next. And what a marvellous touch for Arabella to have a magical, DE brother.
Augusta and Alastor. Wow. I never would have imagined that pairing to be so sensual. Actually, I never would have imagined it at all, but it works so wonderfully well. I love the past hanging between them that they don't really talk about but remember through nicknames and familiarity.
I could go on to list the lines that I love, but I think I would be quoting the entire fic. This is absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much for writing it.
