Oh, Lucius the devil dog. You've written him wonderfully! I love that Peter is full of these insecurities - very in character.
This is an excellent story. The weaving of the telling was wonderful. Watching Peter evolve into the man we knew - yet always keeping that little sliver of his previous self - was an experience. Well done. Your writing of Lucius was impeccable as well; you had me fooled as much as Peter, however much I raised my eyebrow!
