A few thanks are in order, first to [info]femmequixotic who spent time on the look of the LJ mirror community using [info]tripperfunster's art, which you can see on the IJ community (the fact that you can't currently see anything but a standard style on LJ is attributable to some weird LJ bug that stripped the coding...and not in that good "stripped" way. *g*)

I also want to thank [info]odogoddess, [info]tripperfunster, and [info]lesyeuxverts for their lovely offers to pinch hit, but do you know what? We ended up needing not a single pinch hitter in this exchange, which those of you who have ever helped to run an exchange know is practically unheard of.

And finally, I want to thank all the participants and all the folks who read stories and admired art and left feedback and made recs in their journals and who were so positive and supportive about the uncommon pairings that were the focus of [info]hp_beholder. It's people like you who make this kind of [niche] exchange a pleasure to mod.

AHAHAHAHA this makes me cackle like a cackling thing that is cackling because oh hi, I managed to get fics (I mean, the other one, technically not for me, but still) twice from the same person on consecutive days and they both were full of win.

*declares self winner of 09 summer fic season, though I think based on this fest there were a lot of runners-up*

Thank you for this marvelous fest! I was bowled over by the quality of the entries, both fic and art. Best of all, I've discovered some new writers I'd never read before. Not that I've made it through the list yet, sheesh. But thank you, one and all, for the work and the love. I looked forward to your posts every single day. &hearts

What a wonderful fest! I'm *still* working through the fic and art, but I'm so impressed by the overall quality and thematic range of the stories. Beth, thank you so much for the organization and hard work that made the fest run so smoothly and for all of your patience with me. This is one of my favorite HP events of the year--it's a lovely reminder why I got into fandom in the first place. Thank you! Maggie

Thank you so much for running this fest, Beth. This is my second year, and it was just as fantastic this time as it was the first. One of my favorites, and I love participating, and am really astonished and awed by the quality that comes out of this exchange.

One note I'd like to suggest for next year - if/when you're posting the fics to LJ, maybe you could add a note along with the link that LJ users without an IJ can comment with OpenID or anon? There's probably a few people who read but didn't comment because they didn't think they could.
