"Make it new," Ezra Pound said -- take the stories and the poems that have been written, and re-make them, re-tell them and in the process, make us see in ways we haven't seen before. That's what you've done here: you've taken two characters that we might think we know from canon and have shown them from a new and revealing perspective. Very inventive and poetic. I enjoyed each woman's backstory and the ways that their prejudices parallel many of ours.
