I really appreciate the way this fic takes seriously the child-doing-an-adult's task aspect of Draco's story--he's so immature in the books and given such a ridiculously outsized mission. The idea that someone offered him some training and saw his immaturity and lack of preparation makes his story more compelling to me, perhaps because it's more believable.
Enjoyed the comparison with the young guard from the last war and the characterization of Narcissa at the start--of course she would offer tea at a time of desperation! M.
