This is a fascinatingly different perspective on things. I like how you showed Dolohov as a human being who naturally takes pride in his work and accomplishments, and takes them seriously, yet we also never forget that the side he's chosen is a very cruel and sinister one. I think it adds depth to Draco's dilemma in HBP, that he would know someone like this, who plausibly represents Voldemort's side as something proud and powerful. If the DEs were all stereotypical moustache-twirling villains, it would make it too easy for Draco to choose who he wanted to support, I think.
