This sort of self-doubt is all too common in so many relationships, and I love the way you resolved it - Amelia turns out to be quite the lovely poet! I like the way your details create such a full world, giving us a nicely-developed picture of Charity. So many nice little phrasings that characterize her -- "when he wasn't being ridiculously dour and moody," "looking endearingly scandalised," and so on. Amelia is well-drawn, too. The conversations with Severus are both fun and painful, given how things end. I enjoyed this; thank you!
