Where: The Forbidden Forest.

Tom was feeling strangely drawn to Ariana. He wanted to be around her and he didn't exactly know the full reason why. He knew that it was partly that if Albus decided to show himself he had a bargaining chip to ensure his safety. He didn't want anything to get in the way of what he was planning. Nothing was completely in action yet, so any sort of focus from someone who may want to stop him wasn't an option.

He walked to the Forbidden Forest where he had told Ariana he would meet with her. He was there simply to see her, not to do anything to put her into danger or anything. No, he was simply there to meet with her. To make himself look better, he had picked some daisies that were near the edge of the Forest. He needed her to believe in him. If for no other reason, for the company. He needed company, and Ariana did seem to enjoy having him around.

He sat on a broken tree stump, he was playing with his wand in his hand. He always played with his wand when he was impatient. He didn't like to be kept waiting, but he simply couldn't bring himself to tell an innocent child to not keep him waiting. No, he was more of a gentleman than that.

Ariana was happy that her "boyfriend" wanted to see her again! It only took her a few moments to get ready and she began to skip along the path from her tiny home near the Forbidden Forest to the stump they frequently met upon. When she arrived to the forest, behind him, she came up behind him and her hands covered over his eyes,"Tommy, hello." The blonde haired girl moved her hands from his eyes and around his neck with a squeezing embrace.

For someone as dangerous as Ariana, she sure did seem sugary sweet when it came right down to it,"Oooo, you like flowers?" Leaning forward, she plucked one from his hand and tapped it against his cheek. It was so very strange that she had such a unstable personality and how she could be hot or cold, fierce and sweet, dangerous and harmless.

Tom simply smiled. He didn't like the trivial things that Ariana did sometimes, but he was willing to deal with it. It could be the best thing in his life, at least for the moment. To be sure that nothing was going to go wrong, he smiled brightly. He was so able to be nice and friendly when he needed to be, so he didn't take time enough to think on his response, he kissed her cheek lightly and smiled again, "Hello, you look very lovely, my dear."

He pulled the flowers out and handed them to Ariana. He picked them for her, after all. He knew how dangerous she was, but in the end he just didn't care. He didn't think of her hurting him, and he knew he wasn't going to do anything to get her to the point of her acting any sort of vengence on him. It wasn't like he was doing anything that could be considered betrayal. "No, they are for you. I picked them. I would have bought them but I just wanted to see you."

Ariana smiled wildly, but the moment that he pressed a kiss against her cheek, she turned away. Affection was not something that she was used to from a boy, much less an older one. The girl's eyes narrowed and she looked at him,"Why did you do that?" Her voice was nothing like it was two seconds ago and the flowers in her hands died the moment that they touched her palms. It appeared as though she used a spell of some kind to kill them instantly, clearly not amused.

The problem with having a half-sane girl who had explodable magic was things could be taken the wrong way almost instantly. The last time they met in the forest, they got into an argument and it escalated until Ariana was thrown in Azkaban for burning down most of the forbidden forest.

Tom simply stood there. He kept his calm and made sure that he did not upset her anymore than he had already. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable, he was simply being nice to her. Trying his best to be sure that she would not be upset, he answered calmly, "I am sorry, I have missed you, that's all," Tom snaked a smile across his lips.

Tom needed to rethink how he was going to do this. He didn't want to upset her, gods only know what could happen if he did that. He needed to play this in a way that she would understand better than he thought she did now.

Ariana calmed, but not right away, enough to make things settle down around her. Once she was calmer, she didn't say anything and only felt bad when he said that he missed her. Ariana was so hot or cold that she was unpredictable, her hands came to her eyes and tears started falling out,"You don't like me anymore, do you?" Ariana's hand rubbed her eyes, trying to hide her sobs but everyone knew that crying and being angry were two really bad emotions for her to be dealing with.

The tears came as a strange surprise in Tom's mind. He was half expecting to be told to leave her alone without so much as a second thought. Her crying was something she felt awkward about. "Of course I do. You are the person I have been wanting to see for ages. I was simply busy. I do apologize," he walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Are you alright?" he asked, with his eyes wide in concern. Or fake concern. He wasn't sure which, but right now he couldn't concern himself with details. He had to get her to trust him.

Ariana felt bad for snapping at Tom, he couldn't help that he sometimes said things that she misinterpreted as bad or wrong. When his palm touched her, she wrapped her arms around him tight enough to nearly squeeze the air out of him. The girls' small palms clutched the fabric on his back, hiding her face against his stomach.

"No, are you sure you still like me?"

	Tom smiled a bright sort of smile. It was hard for him to know whether she was hot or cold with him sometimes, but he was willing to deal with that part of it all. It wasn't so bad when it came down to it. He kept his smile though his breath grew a bit short when she hugged him. "Of course I do. I upset you, and I am sorry for that." Ariana, unlike Tom, had experience in how the human body takes the emotions of love, even if he didn't feel it. Ariana, on the other hand, had no clue and was trying to mimic what she watched her parents do. Leaning up on her tip toes, she pressed her lips against his own, but she didn't understand what she was doing and pulled away.

"I love you, Tom."

She tilted her head, clearly unsure of what she was saying. Ariana just stared at Tom,"Why is this strange, Tom?"

Tom smiled brightly. He wasn't sure if it was a true smile or not, and right now he simply dismissed those thoughts. He shouldn't overthink them just yet, he had plenty of tiem for that later. When Ariana pulled away, Tom tilted his head slightly. He wasn't completely sure what was going on. He only remembered that this girl would be very useful in the future, and he needed to be as normal as he could possibly allow.

"And I adore you just as much, Ariana," he didn't know why he couldn't say the same words as she did, but in a way, he supposed he just couldn't lie to her.

Strange wasn't the word Tom was thinking, but he supposed it worked as good as any other, "Perhaps because it is new? I have never felt strongly towards anyone else in my lifetimes, does it feel that way to you, too?"
