Tom sat in his home. He was waiting for Brian to come by like he had insisted in an owl. Their plans were needed in order to do as he wanted to do with the world. The world was so horrible at this point that he needed to do something, anything, to fix them. Avery needed to arrive because there was no way Tom was going to let him off the hook as easily as he had. He betrayed him and there was no forgiving that. Avery was trusted and there was no way that he could simply forget the fact that he was almost with Bellatrix and Barty. He had felt that they were his most trusted before, but now he simply couldn't stand them. He didn't want to know what they were doing, only that he wasn't doing it with them. Barty bothered Tom more, though. Barty gave his soul for his cause then simply betrayed him much like many of his others. He couldn't think much on that, though. He couldn't let his mind be dragged into the anger that would likely prevent his judgment from being clear.

It was long after he had cleared his mind that the doorbell rang. Tom rose and walked over to the door. He opened it slowly and said, "Welcome. Come in and sit."

Brian did as he was told. He had been fidgety since he received the owl. He was worried he was in trouble again, but he knew he had to go anyway. Had he not been there, he may be worried about more than a simple spell. He sat quietly as Tom walked back into the room.

"We are putting a plan into action. I believe you are still able to use magic as you once had?"

Brian shifted in his seat and looked up at Tom with worried eyes, "Yes, I am still able."

"Alright. We will be observing this time. I may need your skills to Imperius an official."

"An official? My Lord, I do not understand.." Brian was nervous now. He didn't know what was going on. He only knew he had to do it. And do it correctly from the sound of it.

"Yes. There is a base where they are creating things. I believe we can learn much from them. But I need you to aid me in this quest. We need intelligence."

"Alright, then. I'll do my best, My Lord."

With that, Tom rose and motioned for Brian to join him. He had a destination in mind, and in all honesty he didn't need Brian. He only wanted him there to prove that Tom was not wrong in trusting him again. He wasn't all about hurting him this time. No, he rather needed assurance and that was all. It was only something that was needed in order to cement his loyalty. Nothing else would happen this night. At least not if Brian did his job correctly. Brian rose, as well. He didn't take time in doing so. No, he knew better than that. He took out his wand and looked at Tom.

"Side-Along?"

"Yes. But I will perform the spell. You do not know the location. Nor will you if you fail."

"...Alright."

And Brian placed his hand on the Dark Lord's shoulder. He wasn't about to hug him, no, he simply wanted to get there and get this over with. The truth was, he didn't know if he could do this anymore. He hadn't performed curses in so long that he simply didn't know if he could. But he was going to do his best. It was always about doing his best. At least right now. He couldn't do anything to jeopardize his standing. Not again. He had done enough in his first life, and he wanted the same thing others did. They were there with a pop! and Brian simply remained silent. They set no censors off, which was one thing Tom was glad for. The last thing he needed was to alert those muggles that he was there. He needed to get this done quickly, so not to gain any attention from the guards.

Whiserping, Tom began, "See that man? The one in the suit? He apparently runs this base. It's a place where they are attempting acquire weapons. We need to know what those are. So that is the man."

The man was chatting idly with others who were stationed there. He didn't even realize he was being watched, or some person was going to take over his life. He was merely involved in a conversation that involving what he had done the night before.

"Yes, I see him."

Tom kept his voice so low that only Brian would be able to hear. "Good. You will do that while I look at the entrances."

Tom went about his business as Brian stood there. His mind was racing. There was so much going through it at this moment. He had Imperius a man who had nothing to do with this. He was only an official on the opposite side. Finally, deciding against just leaving here and risking getting himself killed. Brian did as he was told. Luckily enough for him, the spell worked, and he forced the man to go back inside and stop the conversation.

Tom on the other hand, was looking around. He wanted to know how a "bunker" place worked. He only knew the basics, but seeing the place for himself it seemed like it was far more complicated than he had ever imagined. He noticed that there was likely no other way to do this. Guards were placed everywhere. They were also strapped with guns and though Tom didn't know how to get past them. He couldn't see anything that would work. So, with disappointment, he decided to go back and see if Brian had completed his task.

"Is it done?"

"Yes, My Lord. He is under my control. I see his mind, and from the looks of it, it doesn't look good."

Tom nodded and motioned for Brian to peer into his eyes. He seen everything. The destruction. This wasn't going to be good. Now it was time for planning.

"Go home, Avery. It is done. Thank you for allowing me access. I needed to see what you saw."

"Anything for you, My Lord."

"You will be rewarded. Now rest up. I believe there is much we can learn, and I fear we may have little time to do so."

Brian nodded and apparated home. His own mind was muddled with the thoughts of what he had seen himself. He doubted that he would be able to sleep again because of how horrible it is. It just wasn't something he could forget. And he didn't know how to even begin.
