Entry tags:1- continents: north america, art and craft supplies

This is fun.

My wish list:

1. US size one or two Addi Turbo (or other metal) circular needles long enough to be used for magic loop (35-40 inches?).

2. Art inspired by any of my fics.

3. An alarm clock whose alarm will keep going off over and over, no matter how many times I hit snooze.

4. Someone to help me put together a presentation for my Master's thesis defense. Intelligent feedback and the like.

5. The name and/or author of a book that goes like this: a woman's great aunt or grandmother or something dies. She inherits a big old house somewhere up north (I live in Texas, so this is a broad term for me) in a rural-ish area. It either used to be a yarn shop or she turns it into one. There is some mystery - possibly with the manner of her relative's death or surrounding one of her dead relative's friends. She has lots of conversations with the relative's friends and neighbors. It was very knitting-centric, I think.

6. An apartment in Beaumont, TX for $600 a month or less that allows pets.

7. Donations to the March of Dimes. In memory of Phineas Miller, if you like.

8. Suggestions/recipes for vegetarian alternatives for holiday meals (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.).

9. A really nice pen. One that doesn't have a sharp edge near the tip, you know what I mean?

10. A cloak. You know, like a traveling cloak from a high fantasy novel. Black or some other dark color, wool, ankle-length, preferably with a hood. Just a link to a place I could buy one or, as a last resort, a pattern I could cajole my grandmother into making me would suffice. All the ones I've found for purchase are either cheap costume-style or made of velvet.

What size do you wear... for the cloak? They're easy-peasy to make, and I've got TOOOONS of fabric laying around.

Also: I have recipes for Edamame stuffing, Vegetarian gravy, and a "Tofurkey" pot pie... let me know if you want any of those. Do you have a place near you where you can get a Tofurkey? I can look into having one sent to you. (I work at a Trader Joe's).

Um, my dress size is about an 8.

The edamame stuffing recipe would be great! I could probably get a Tofurkey. I had something that was Tofurkey once and it wasn't my favorite thing ever, but maybe I should give it a try.

If you happen to find the recipes for the stuffing or gravy lying around, could you email them to itmakesnodifference @ gmail.com? I'd be most appreciative!

Somehow I never got a notification about this comment, so I just saw it. *pouts*

But THANK YOU! This has been driving me and a knitting buddy of mine insane for like two months. Thank you so much!

squash stuffed with a cranberry filling; either traditional bread stuffing plus cranberries, or rice and almond and cranberry... use the dark green acorns, they will look and taste great with the red berries.

sometimes I have stuffed a huge hubbard squash in leiu of turkey.
