By the lake (Hannah and Susan, open)
Susan closed her legens and started down towards the lake. She was excited to talk to Hannah, it felt like they hadn't had too much time lately. She wanted to talk about the Draco thing with Hannah, but she was going to have to be careful. She wasn't going to tell Hannah what to do, but she did wonder what was on her mind. She'd have to be supportive no matter what, it wasn't going to be easy for Hannah because of Malfoy's reputation around them.

But, there was always school and spring and other such things to talk about too. It was nice down by the lake, even though it had been raining for days. It served to make the grass start to come out and really feel like spring.

Hannah was glad to be headed to her favorite place to meet up with one of her favorite people. Susan had always been her best friend, and now that they were stuck here, it seemed she saw less of her than she did in their own time. Though, with everything going on, Hannah figured that was bound to happen.

Still, Hannah felt terrible for feeling like she'd been neglecting her best friend, and now was the time to fix things.

So she'd stopped by the kitchens, asking for a little assistance, and then showed up with a nice big basket-full of food for herself, Susan and anyone else who might show up.

Susan smiled as she saw Hannah approach, full picnic basket in tow. The kitchen elves always seemed to take a liking to her. "Wow, looks like you outdid yourself." She was a bit hungry.

"It's nice out today, isn't it? One of the first decent picnic days." The weather, it turns out, was the single most constant thing about the time switch and it served to comfort Susan that the seasons still changed the same as they used to. Will. Whatever.

	"Nah. Just the usual stuff we used to have back... before... or will. You know what I mean," she laughed, shaking her head and sitting down next to her friend. Opening the picnic basket, she took out a nice big sandwich and sighed happily. "So, where have you been hiding yourself?!" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Where had she been hiding herself? She wasn't intentionally hiding herself, just trying to go about things normally, but she supposed she'd been keeping to herself. She took out a sandwich herself and thoughtfully responded, "I'm not sure, really. I've been trying to be normal, mostly."

She paused to take a bite of the sandwich and prepared to dive into Hannah's life, which she was curious about, especially after her conversation with Harry. "What about you? Anything interesting?"

	"Nothing overly interesting. I mean, it's not as if my parents are here to tempt me... what with me being Muggle born and all. But I've been making one or two new... accquaintances." She was being vague on purpose, wanting to see just how interested her best friend was. After all, Susan was known for prying when it came to Hannah... not that she minded. Susan raised her eyebrow slightly. They had a routine, her and Hannah, of Susan asking and Hannah slightly playing with her. All in good fun.

"Well, that's nice. I've been talking to people myself." She paused for a second, deciding how to proceed. She might as well approach the subject directly. "Oh," she started, as if it had just occurred to her, "we haven't spoken about anything about it since the ball, have we? Is Draco among those acquaintances?"

	And there was that blush that she'd become all too familiar with. Oh this was going to be interesting. "Yes... he would be. You don't totally hate me do you? I know we never really got along with Slytherins at home, but wow, Susan. He's smart and he's... different." (Reply to this) (Parent)
