Valentine's Day [locked to Kingsley and Elizabeth]
Kingsley stood a bit nervously in the shadows as the Great Hall emptied out after dinner. He had no idea if Elizabeth had gotten his note or not. He had felt a small thrill when she had signed her return owl with the nickname he gave her on her birthday, but had quickly shrugged it off. After all, friends gave each other nicknames all the time didn't they? And it certainly wasn't proper to call a girl by her surname no matter what James Potter might think.

He had spent his free period getting ready after he had received the Butterbeer from James and Sirius. He hoped to Merlin they wouldn't be too sneaky and figured they would be to busy at the ball to figure out who he was meeting, nonetheless he had taken percautions.

Anyway he had commandeered and charmed an empty classroom that was tucked away from the Great Hall as to not arouse suspicion, but not too far away either.

Now all he had to do was wait.

	Elizabeth had in fact gotten Kingsley's note. She walked out of the doors of the Great Hall and searched for him. She was nervous and excited. She'd never felt like that before. (Reply to this) (Thread)

He moved down the hall and led her to an unused classroom. He removed the protective barrier charm and opened the door.

The desks and chairs had been pushed to the perimeter. on a table to the side was a small wizard wireless. He wasn't even certain that that would work in Hogwarts, but he had gotten lucky.

He stood back to let her enter. "Do you still want dance lessons," he asked softly.

It wasn't anything fancy but it would do.

	He felt the knot of tension unwind a but in his stomach as he turned to cast a silencing charm on the doorway so that they wouldn't disturb anyone but could leave the door open. 	He chuckled, "Do you like music?" As his mother had taught him he began to move the rest of his body in time with the music waiting for her to follow. Their feet were still stationary, but he knew it wouldn't be long until they followed of their own accord. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	His feet began to move. "You're doing well." He had had some of the best conversations when he was dancing with his Mum. So he began to talk. "So how have classes been and everything?" 	He frowned, "I think Potions is the bane of my existence. Everything else is alright. Defense is best, were working on using ordinary spells in new ways." He felt his smile widen, "It's fun to use your imagination." They were moving together now and the song changed. "Watch the tempo, it's slower now, take smaller steps." They stayed that way for a while as the songs changed every few minutes. He let the conversation drop and the silence was comfortable.

He was worried about breaking the moment but as a true Gryffindor he took his courage in hand and decided he would offer a comment instead of asking a question.

"Hogwarts reminds me of when I was young and fell through the ice in the brook. When I got out and stumbled home my mom wrapped me in a warm blanket."

"It's safe and if you chose to you can ignore everything else."

He was pretty sure he was rambling and he couldn't help bu blush a bit.

He had to laugh at the tone in her voice.

"I was uhh... climbing a tree and I went out too far on a branch over the brook. The branch was thin and broke I fell onto the ice and through it too."

The branch hadn't been very high, but still he had been lucky and they always assumed it was some magic that had helped him.

He shivered a bit at the memory. It had taken him a long while to warm up.
