Helping Hermione Granger was not something Pansy ever thought she'd do. However, being around those who knew who she really was, mudblood or not, was a relief to Pansy. She didn't have to pretend to be anyone other than who she was. Besides, it would be a riot to see Hermione attempting to act like a girl! For this reason, Pansy agreed to help the girl learn a thing or two about kissing. And, well, boys in general.

Pansy still didn't see why Hermione couldn't just sneak into Slytherin. She didn't fancy having to bring her nice robes and mirrors to the third floor bathroom. Still, it wasn't like she was doing much else anyway. Hence, she trudged to the bathroom, things in tow.

This is a very bad idea, she kept reminding herself. Meeting a Slytherin alone, at night, when she wasn't sure what side said Slytherin was on...not a good idea at all.

Hermione wasn't really pacing in the third-floor bathroom because she wanted "pointers" for snogging, but because she had a tiny hope that maybe Pansy would spill something that would hint what side she was on.

On a lighter note, she was doing this because Pansy was one of the few girls from the future, and sometimes even Hermione could enjoy girl bonding.

Had Pansy been able to read Hermione's mind, she would have laughed. What side was she on? Her own. In other words, whatever side would allow her freedom and a trip back to her own time. Sure, Pansy wasn't heartless. Now that she was no longer caught up in the moment, thinking back to the last battle was something that unsettled her. She wasn't a huge fan of blood and gore; nor did she like that people she once took classes with were now dead. Funny how things could change in the heat of the moment.

Seeing Hermione, she didn't smile but she did nod her greeting. She glanced over the girl, appraising her style. Oy, they were in for some work.

Hermione bit her lip, wondering what Pansy was thinking as she scanned her. She looked around the room nervously, and spotted the beauty supplies.

"You have quite a collection." She said, turning pale at the thought of how much of that would be smothered on her face in the next few minutes.

"Clearly." Pansy cocked her head, wondering why Hermione's color was draining. "Nervous?" Surprisingly, the query didn't come out as a taunt. Pansy had always wanted a little sister though she knew her father would have likely choked at the prospect of another female. Bad enough Pansy wasn't a boy, right? Hermione might have been a mudblood, but she was still a girl and in need of a make-over. Well, as far as Pansy was concerned anyway.

"What exactly do you intend to do to me?" She asked, not feeling the same sisterly feelings as Pansy was. The idea of having to wear things that she disliked just so a boy would like her was foreign to her.

"Do to you?" Pansy picked up some robes and started holding them up to Hermione to check her coloring. "Make you presentable, of course."

Hermione looked down at her feet, offended. She was most certainly presentable--she always dressed appropriately, even when school uniforms weren't necessary. Besides, Ron didn't care about things like that.

Or did he? She began to feel paranoid. Maybe that was why he never showed any interest in her. She looked up at Pansy with new determination. "All right. What are you going to do first?"

"Get you a decent wardrobe. Clearly, I don't have what I used to..." She paused, huffing as she thought about her lost robes. "But I've managed to put some decent things together from what we were given." She held up a pretty red skirt and white ruffly blouse. "This will do just fine. Put it on and then I'll show you how to manage that mop of yours." She pushed the robes at Hermione. "Go on now."

Embarrassed, she took the clothing and went into a bathroom stall. She struggled with the skirt's zipper, but eventually came out, dressed, with her face bright red. "I n-never wear things like this." She said quietly.

"Which is why we're here, is it now?" Pansy sighed, feeling very sorry for herself. Hermione clearly didn't understand girl things. "Come, tell me what glamour charms you know." She crossed her arms, an expectant look flickering upon her face.

Now that was something she could discuss.

"Well, nearly all of them listed in Glamour Encyclopedia. I haven't used them all, but I know how to cast most." She looked up at Pansy. "I don't believe in using magic unless it's for a very good reason."

"Oh, honestly!" Pansy was losing count of how many times that expression had left her lips that day. Hermione was hopeless, wasn't she? "We're at Hogwarts so it's not like it's against the rules." She released another exaggerated sigh before leaning against one of the sinks to examine her own appearance. "Is it because your parents are muggles? They think magic is odd so you don't cast unless it is...for a very good reason?" She mimicked the girl's words, her tone reaching a high octave in exaggeration of Hermione's tone.

Why did it always have to come down to lineage? She was certainly not going to explain her reasons to Pansy. She stomped into the stall, and came back out a minute later in her old outfit.

"Being Muggle-born has nothing to do with it." She said coldly, forgetting everything nice she had ever thought about the Slytherin girl.

"I don't need your spells to make a boy like me." Hermione added in a dark tone, placing Pansy's skirt and shirt on the counter.

She walked towards the door.

"Oh for Salazar's sake!" Pansy exclaimed, indignation written all over her face. "It was a simple question! You're not used to magic, now are you? I was raised with it so it doesn't seem odd to use it for these matters at all. But fine! Go off in your self-righteous anger!"

She made a vow to never extend her hand to anyone again. Clearly, Hermione was every bit the annoying little know it all she had always been.
