Ok, I've got a job for those of you out there that are listening.
I need a prompt.
Anything LOTRPS. Anything at all, throw it at me.
I realized as I updated my fic list for this year's lotrps remix that I only have one new story to add to it in the lotrps genre unless you count my remix from last year! Then it's a whopping two.
lotrps remix assignments are handed out very very soon, I want to add at least 1 more short one to the list so I don't BORE my poor remixer to death.

This was my remix last year. This was extremely fun to write. Kinda like writing with a partner only they didn't know about it.

Rating: R-ish for a couple bad words and some clothed undulations Warnings: none Disc: Made up. Not only is this not true, I didn't even make up the lies!
Changes: No longer an AU except in as much as it is still totally made up. Starts a bit before the original story. Gave some of the other guys something to do, filled it out a bit here and there with trivial stuff, a ball of lint that crawled in my ear while reading the rules for the challenge itself. Changed it to present tense because I can't write in past tense anymore for some reason, and I made Orlando kind of a twat. Kept the dialog almost exactly the same because it was really the meat of the original story. Orig. Word Count: 1600 Remix Word Count: 3900

I swear to god this isn't a mary-sue, but it has that flavor, I'm afraid. I wrote this for a friend who, as far as I know, is not a slasher, shipper, fic writer or reader, but she loves Orlando to a degree that would put many Orlando lovers in fandom to shame. She sprained both her ankles one year a while back and was feeling pretty shitty, so I wrote her this to cheer her up.

Next up, a slightly longer fic done for another sort of challenge based on a tarot card prompt. (read the meaning of the prompt below, it'll maybe make a few things make sense) I still kind of like this one, and lj'er often_adamanta breathed new life into it last year with her remix here. Her version is a perfect counterpoint, exactly what I was trying to imply between the lines in the original and it made me feel like a million bucks that she could not only read what I tried to write in between those tiny little lines but express it with such grace.

I figured out why I had thought I had posted here but hadn't. I was only "watching" this comm instead of being a member of it, so it never showed up in semagic when I go distributing my smut.
So, to make up for my grievous error, here's a disordered series of posts of everything I have that relates to orli and the hobbits.

If you've ever read a story and thought: "If I were telling it, I would do it differently", or even "I wonder what that other character was thinking?", then this challenge is for you. Just like musical remixes, this project aims to show how differences in vision and style can cast light on stories in a whole new way. The Lotrips Remix first ran in 2003. You can check out the results of previous years at the Remix site; if you haven't witnessed a remix before, please do so. It'll help you get a feel of the scope and range allowed. We encourage authors to get as creative as they like, within the boundaries of the project. The deadline for signing up is August 15 (11:55 pm, pacific time) so please read the rules, and read the very helpful post by  cupidsbow on the process of remixing -- that should give everyone confidence that they can discover a new take on an old story, then sign up!
