Sisterly Advice [shortly after marriage to Thoth] (tag: Tawaret)
Seshat was, by nature, a learner. Though some might think that given her proclivities she'd be a know-it-all, Seshat recognized that she did not in fact know it all. But she wanted to. She had a constant hunger to discover new information that she didn't have before. So she never hesitated in tracking down ways to feed that hunger, particularly when she found a topic that was completely unfamiliar.
Except this time.
This time, she was both hesitant to seek out the answers she needed, and at a loss as to who might have those answers. A mother would have been handy in a situation like this. And though she loved her father, and was certain he probably knew what she wished to learn, Seshat really couldn't see having this sort of conversation with him. It would be far too awkward. She had looked for scrolls on the topic, but all she'd found thus far was a series of crude drawings that left her with far more questions.
At a complete loss, she finally settled on talking to someone that she was certain had first-hand experience, someone that was fortunately also a sibling. Unfortunately, it was not a sibling she'd spent that much time with. Truthfully, Seshat thought Tawaret was a bit, well, wild. Her sister never seemed to let anything hold her back or stand in her way, and while that was awe inspiring, it was also somewhat frightening. Seshat, deep down, might have been a bit afraid of being run over by her overwhelmingly confident sister.
But the confusion and lack of certainty were eating her up, and Seshat had been unable to sleep for several days. And not for the reason she'd expected given recent events. Which is why, despite some of her misgivings, she found her way to Tawaret's home. As she approached the house, however, her steps slowed until she found herself stalled several feet from the door. Maybe this was not a good idea, after all.
