Wedding Night, Supernatural, John Winchester/Mary Winchester Title: Wedding Night "We're finally married," Mary told John for the tenth time as he carried her over the threshold of their hotel. They'd had some champagne at the reception and both of them were feeling fine. "How are you feeling, Mrs. Winchester?" John loved how it sounded in reference to Mary. "I already love being Mrs. Winchester. I should probably get into my wedding night attire." Mary smiled. "You have special attire?" Mary nodded. "I'd like to see that." A slow smile spread across his face. Mary grabbed her little bag. Then, she turned her back to John and pulled her hair to the side so that he could get the hooks on her dress done for her and start the zipper. John took in a big breath of Mary's shampoo as he helped her with her dress. There was so much about that day that he wanted to remember. When Mary was hidden away in the bathroom, John took the time to change out of his suit into a nice pair of silk boxers that had a short matching robe. He got his suit hung up before Mary tossed her wedding dress out and asked if he could hang it up for her. He hung it up, no problem. It gave him something to do while he waited for her. Mary stepped out of the bathroom and looked like a dream. Her silky robe went all the way to the floor. She reached her arms around John's neck and he put his around her waist. They slowly rocked to music that only they could hear. When they stopped, Mary untied John's robe to expose his bare chest. John untied Mary's to reveal an ivory chemise that fit just right in all the places it should. They hung up their robes and John shut off or lowered some of the lights while Mary sat nervously on the edge of the bed. "What's wrong, Mare? You don't look like you're enjoying yourself?" "Just a long day. All the planning that went into it. It was here and gone so fast." "Now that it's over, you're nervous?" John looked confused. "I know I made the right decision getting married. It's just nerves." "I don't know what to tell you, Mary. It's not something that has to happen tonight." "It's tradition." "Screw tradition. We run our own lives. One day, when we're both relaxed, we'll do this. It will be better that way." "Okay. As long as I'm not letting you down," Mary's voice was quiet. "You'd only be letting me down if we went ahead with it and you didn't really want to. Let's just call it a night, honey. Climb into bed and I'll get the lights." Mary scrambled into bed and was thankful for John's body heat when he joined her. "I've been waiting for this," she said. "What?" "The opportunity to just feel you. Usually most of your skin is covered by clothing. Now I can feel all that it hides." Mary's hands moved from his neck to his shoulders, down his chest, and up his sides. "Can I do the same?" John asked. "Just remove your nightgown." Mary nodded and removed it. Then, she snuggled back under the covers and the protective circle of John's arms. "I love the feel of your skin on mine." Mary told him. "I wish we could always sleep like this." "Who says we can't? We have our own house. We can sleep however we please." Mary laughed. "It wouldn't be decent." "We're not telling anyone else to sleep how we do. It's not like we're going to go streaking across the lawn." "I suppose." John brought his hands up and carefully moved his hands over each inch of Mary's skin, memorizing what it was like the day they got married. He was intoxicated by her skin more than he was the champagne from earlier. Anyone can get champagne. He had the only Mary in bed next to him. Mary felt the muscles in John arms as he held her and shifted in bed. They made her want him even more. She wanted to reach out and touch them but she didn't know what John would say. She partially leaned over John, talking to him about their plans for the next day, and he idly ran his fingers up and down her spine. It felt so good. She lost track of what she'd been saying and arched into those fingers. They fell into a peaceful sleep. The tension of the day evaporated. Mary woke up during the night and decided to wake John up. "Honey, are you awake?" John mumbled. "Can you wake up for a minute?" "Yeah, Mary. What do you need?" John was wiping the sleep out of his eyes. "I've decided to follow tradition," she whispered. "What?" "I'm not stressed about it anymore. Please?" Like a guy is ever going to say no to a naked lady in his bed.
