Your character is suddenly attractive to the same sex. People find themselves unable to tear their eyes away. Guys get a raging hard on for him. Women are tugging at their collars when she is near. Slash is in the air and your character is Cupid!

The old saying is "Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker."

Your character is trying to seduce the person of their dreams. Wooing them is taking too long, so they decided to get them drunk. Does this work? What are the consequences? Do the legal ramifications come up?

Character of your choice is now the center of Media Scrutiny. Be it because of their ability, political fallout, or that infamous sex tape of theirs circulating the internet. Whatever the cause, they can't get by without at least a dozen paparazzi dogging their every step.

Thanks to Olson and Johnson, crazy and zany is the order of the day.

Everything is going along normal. The characters are doing what they should. Dialog is fitting in with the theme. Your plot is flowing smoothly.

When suddenly.....

Your character sniffs an alien flower, ends up pregnant. Sylar prances in, passing out candy hearts and wearing baby wings. Mama Petrelli turns in to Aunt Bea and is worrying about who's stealing her pies.

The entire cast breaks out in to the fight scenes from West Side Story!

...and then things return to normal as if the interruption never happened.

Whatever makes your story a little to the side of odd, breaks the flow, is what we are looking for.

With the current trend of Heroes, I feel this one is especially relevant. Your character/characters of choice have a secret. Something has happened to them, and now the outrageous consequences must be dealt with. Missing family members no one knew about are suddenly popping out of the wood work. That eternally, one true love is in danger due to external influences, do the make it?

Your character has been taken to the future, either by their own abilities, or by someone with those abilities. Can they get back, do they want to? Is there such place as a back to get back to?

Character of your choice is using their ability to make money. Be it in a side show, a vegas premier, or just old fashioned pick pocketing. How do they do it, do they get caught?

Character of your choice A is either caught en delecto or is 'in the family way' with character B. Due to an overbearing parent, peer pressure, or just plain old fashioned guilt, they must now marry. Consequences vary, but whether it works must be resolved by the end of the fic.
