About: | HELL IS EASTWICK Hell is Eastwick is a panfandom crack game set in the small town of Eastwick (because the game creators are not above taking the setting of a book/movie/TV show and running away with it), which just happens to be ruled by the Devil at present. GENERAL RULES 1) Please remember the IC/OOC divide. IC drama is grand. OOC drama is not. 2) Don't be a jerk. No godmoding, ask permission to do things to others' characters before you do it, etc. 3) Any character from any fandom can be applied within certain limitations - the character must be physically able to live in a 21st century Earth setting like the town of Eastwick. If a character breathes methane or requires a higher-than-21st-century-tech encounter suit to survive, said character is not viable. When in doubt, ask one or both of the mods and we'll make a call. 3) There are no limits on PBs - any PB can be used any number of times, but wherever possible please use a canon PB. Art/in-game/comic PBs are OK. People who use the same PBs will look disturbingly alike, which could be funny. 4) There are no activity requirements in this game, though there is a per-month application limit of two. This being a cracky game, it's only to be expected that some characters will phase in and out, that some will be applied and then not stick in some way. It's completely OK, we're all doing this to have fun. 5) If you intend to apply a character who has significant canon ties to another character already in play, please email or IM the player to ask permission/let them know and talk a little. This will make sure that no one gets caught off-guard and allow people to talk about how their characters relate before application/interview time. 6) Related to #4, there is a system by which characters are put on hold: the player placing the hold creates a wiki page for the character including the date the hold was placed and assigns it to the Held Characters category. If a character is on hold in this way, he/she is only available to be applied by the person who put him/her on hold. Each player may have a maximum of four characters on hold at a time. If a character has been on hold for several months, it's OK to contact the player with the hold and ask if they're still interested in the character. Please be realistic and don't hold characters you may never have time to apply. APPLICATION PROCESS 1) If you're new, please read everything tagged 'getting started' on the OOC comm. Here's a link to make it easy. 2) Either put a hold on a character you want or create a journal for your character. Or both! (But if you're going to apply right away, there's no real need for a hold.) 3) Join your character's journal to the main play comm (HERE) and the OOC comm (HERE). 4) Fill out the application below and post it to the main play comm. Put the body of the application interview under a cut and tag it as 'application', and put the name of the character and the canon they come from in the subject line. 5) Play with people in your application until the Devil interviews you personally! After you have job/home assignment, you'll also get a tag of your own. 6) At some point during this process, fill out a wiki page (create one or add info to the one you created when you put the character on hold) and add your contact information to the contact info post/wikipage. | ||||||||||
