Who: Thor and OPEN!
What: Music starting at the most inopportune moment.
Where: ShopRite!
When: Friday Night (That's how Thor rolls)
Rating: PG
For Thor, it all began with a wink.
The Norse God stood in line at the ShopRite with a piece of paper clutched between his fingers. Tony Stark had sent him out to pick up a couple of items for him so that he could make himself useful instead of working out all day. Since Tony had been so kind to him and allowed him to stay at his own fortress, it was the very least that Thor could do to repay the Man of Iron’s kindness, even if part of him felt like Tony had asked him to leave so that Thor would stop making the walls tremble every time that he took a swing at the punching bag (he’d already gone through at least four of them already). The items were simple enough for him to find – milk, bread, eggs and, his favourite, coffee - though this seemed like a job that would have been better suited towards servants, or slaves, or women…
Yes, women should gather food and men should fight. That is how this works.
As the thought of women crossed his mind, he couldn’t help but notice the small, but very cute one that was standing behind the counter, accepting payments for purchases. She caught his eye, mostly because she had been staring at him on and off since he joined the queue. Staring was something that Thor received much of and, of course, he couldn’t blame anyone for wanting to. He was gorgeous. Naturally, he thought it would be only courteous to show her that her intrigue was appreciated. So as she stole another glance his way, Thor flashed the girl a charming smile, coupled with a wink.
And that was when it began and the pulse of an electronic beat unexpectedly surrounded him.
When I walk on by, girls be lookin’ like ‘damn he fly.’
I pimp to the beat, walkin’ down the street in my new lafreak, yeah!
The calloused voice that broke through the store’s calm abruptly stopped as Thor’s head turned wildly to see where it was coming from, but he couldn’t find its source. It confused him, but wherever the rude music had come from, it was gone now… For a split second, he thought that the entire occurrence was extremely strange, however after another moment of deliberation he decided that he didn’t care that much about where it came from. Thor shrugged his shoulders and turned his attention back to the attractive blond, who was now standing directly in his sights as he passed her his items.
He let the moment roll off him and, once again, Thor smiled handsomely at the woman and he spoke in calming, smooth manner. “Hello, miss... I enjoy the lettering on your shirt.” Thor didn't enjoy the writing on her shirt as much as he enjoyed its location. No sooner had the words escaped him that the music resumed, at least ten times louder than the first.
This is how I roll, animal print, pants out control,
It’s Red Foo with the big ass ‘fro,
An’ like Bruce Leroy, I got the glow, yo!
(Ahhh) Girl look at that body,
(Ahhh) Girl look at that body,
(Ahhh) Girl look at that body,
I-I-I work out.
(Ahhh) Girl look at that body,
(Ahhh) Girl look at that body,
(Ahhh) Girl look at that body,
I-I-I work out.
When I walk in the spot, (yea) this is what I see (okaay)
Everybody stops and they staring at me
I got a passion in my pants and I ain't afraid to show it, show it, show it, show it...
Thor’s eyes were wide with embarrassment and horror at what was happening because, somehow, he knew that the music was coming from him… It wasn’t just the woman behind the counter that was staring at him now; it was the entire staff and anyone that could strain their necks far enough to get a look at the tall, handsome blond that was emanating LMFAO’s hit.
I'm sexy and I know it!
The beat electronic beat returned and Thor’s shocked eyes turned towards the cashier – this song had effectively ruined any chance he had at attempted to bed this woman. “THIS- THIS IS NOT ME! THIS MUSIC IS FALSE! I- I would… care to pay by cash…” He tried to shove the money into the woman’s hands as quickly as he could – the music was only getting louder and now a crowd had begun to form around him. “Please, take it! TAKE it!”
