Doug had perched himself on one of the staircases, eye fixed to the camera's viewscreen, speaking just loud enough to be recorded. He'd probably have to add a voice track over it anyways, but at least he'd have a running 'thought preview'.
He spoke quietly to the camera as he watched his fellow students walk through the halls. "...and here we walk, the future of England, talking about the latest shows on the Beeb and the rugby match from days before. Young, some relatively handsome, more than a few with the brains that shall run our fair nation. But are we prepared? Are we too young for the responsibilities our elders want to put on our shoulders?"
He paused, then grinned. "Maybe we should be tossing these concerns over to the girl's schools. They probably talk less about sex and the latest footie game."
He started to move the camera around again, looking for someone to interview.
