The library seemed to be a favorite spot for the majority of the Baptiste children. For Justine it had forever been an escape, a place to get away from the stresses or the monotonous nature of their lives. It seemed, at times, that things were either notably free of anything remarkable taking place or one, if not more, of the siblings was embroiled in some personal drama. Ophelia, with her lingering presence, had been a source of stress for all of them for quite some time, though no one suffered more from her presence than Dimitri. He never said anything about how she affected him, but he didn't need to. If anyone could understand how much a past love's return could disrupt any semblance of calm your life seemed to have taken on, it was Justine. She had felt, lately, as if she was a bit of a neglectful elder sister. Her own personal issues had distracted her from spending too much time in her siblings' company and she did miss them. In her absence, she kept both eyes and ears open so that she might know what filled their time, what was occurring in their lives that she might otherwise miss out on.
Tonight she had made time to ensure that she could see Dimitri, that the two of them could have dinner with one another and discuss things that had taken place. There was no hiding the return of her one-time fiancee, she had informed all of them of his presence after all, and his lingering within the city was something that likely wouldn't go unnoticed either. She knew her brother would not ask her anything directly about Mikkos, or at least most likely wouldn't, but that didn't mean for a moment that he felt the matter was taken care of. Just as she would not question him about Ophelia. She knew where he stood on the matter and while she might have hated the woman with a passion, in the end the choice could be no one but Dimitri's.
She was ready earlier then the time they had agreed to meet, dressed for the evening in a pair of black trousers and a satiny jade-green blouse that wrapped around her slim form and tied off to one side, it was the library where she first steered herself. If Dimitri, like herself, had found himself prepared to depart before their agreed upon time, this is where she would find him. Sure enough, when she pushed through the door, there he sat, book in hand. "That's quite a classic you've picked up," she mused with a warm smile, walking over to greet him with a kiss to each cheek. "How is my dearest brother?"
