Week One: Tuesday
When: Night
Where: Bar or strip club
Who: Nikolaos and...

The air was cold, so cold that breath came in puffs before a persons lips. The sting of it clung against Nikolaos's skin and yet he'd barely blinked an eye to it since coming to the surface. Others had complained, low mutters of the chill compared to hells heat. Such whining earned them nothing good, a weakness that Nikolaos had decided to force them to face. It took little work to break into the kitchen of the hotel they were staying in after hours to throw the guards into the walk in freezer. But after a few hours the pair had ceased to complain about the surface world’s cold...all they had needed was a bit of perspective to what cold really was.

The first few days were spent adjusting, settling into the hotel and gathering up information so that all would know exactly what they were doing here. Or at the least...most of what they were doing here. The guards were unaware of any reason to think plans would change. it was best that way. It wasn't on them to keep everything going on schedule, it was Nik's. Yes he recalled the growled pleads of his mother well, claws digging into his hand, her eyes black. She knew better then to demand, all the woman of their family did. But she knew that Nik had the same...disgust...that she held towards all that could possibly come to pass on the surface.

For tonight he'd left the hotel and his father's side. He gave only word that he was going to do a bit of...exploring. If he was to work on the surface he had need to know the city now didn't he? The surface was not completely foreign to him but he'd not spent near the same amount of time on it as his father had. He was born and raised in hell, the ways of that world were what he kept to...not the pathetic rules made on the surface to protect the worthless weak. He'd already been given warning by his father to behave. Nik had merely smirked and said of course.

Ones definition of behave was rather different with all that you asked. But he knew what his father spoke of and Nik would attempt to walk that thin line of enjoyment and pushing the law here too far.

Cloaked in the nights shadows he moved, silently cutting his way through the city to finally reach the destination of some bar, strip club, tavern, as though he cared or knew. The bright lights and woman dressed in little had drawn his attention. There was the scent of sin and pain in the air, a familiar scent that made gray eyes nearly flash in anticipation. But there was a distinct problem with the surface world...the shows they gave were so...weak. The strongest dominatrix and the pet that loved pain...it still paled compared to the shows that Nikolaos could put on. Sitting to a back booth with boots upon the table and a waitress or two buzzing around him he had the distinct urge to show them all. One show, just a few moments, that’s all it would take to open their eyes...

"Another drink..." one of the girls sweetly cooed, breaking his focus away from the stage. "Not unless you have something better then this piss." he returned in that same sickly sweet tone with a bright smile flashed. The girl looked confused "But...this is the most expensive we have!" a pointless argument, the liquor tasted hardly better then water. Shelling out money for something that could barely be called sub par, Nik couldn't help but sneer. “Your best is pathetic, come back when you can really offer me something.” Nik hissed, waving the plastic looking creature away from him like he was swatting at a fly.

The girl hmphed, hands on her hips and her eyes attempting to shoot daggers but it was such a pathetic attempt that Nik could only laugh at her. The girl ran quickly away, one gone but he had no doubt others would soon try to get money out of him. Nik simply shook his head in disappointment and let his eyes draw back up to the stage to watch the next worthless attempt to entertain start.

The ladies came to this place because Jeanine's boyfriend worked security; otherwise, they would never have bothered. Security at a bar meant that he was a bouncer, which tended to mean that he was a rather largely built man and his face was often adorned with something along the lines of a scowl. Not the person with the most cheerful disposition, but that was just the sort of man that Jean would go after. As soon as they got to the door, there he was, and there Jean went. Alphonsine, left to her own devices, wandered inside.

She slipped off her jacket, a nice leather trench coat that suited the weather well. It was not as though she needed the warmth. Her fingertips lightly pulled at the form-fitting sweater in a cherry red. It came just past the hem of her black pencil skirt that ended at her knees, the only sensual part of her body really exposed in a place where less was more. Her purple fingernails lightly grasped a few of the blonde riglets that slipped into her eyes and when the little plastic women came over and asked for her order with a rather agitated tone, Ally asked for gin. They had to at least have decent gin, right?

It was not a place of great class, sure, but something a little more out of the way. She worked in the Alibi Room, which prided itself on its chic design and fine selections. There was a rising doubt that this place would have anything quite as good but one drink to kill the time it would take for Jean to smooch with her beefy man would be good enough. That was where both women had just come from; a large party was scheduled to be hosted by the Alibi and then they had to cancel their reservation last minute, something about bad shrimp at the luncheon they had all attended. That was fine with Ally and Jean, as they had been put on as extra staff and were then released back into the night, their services unnecessary.

Two girls were dancing and Ally found them to be a little off in their rhythm. It was a distracting quality despite the fact that she was not really watching the women for the reasons that the other patrons in the establishment did. She sat down in front of the stage, two chairs away from one of said patrons, and slung her coat over the back of one of the chairs between them Further back, men were watching these women and allowing their minds to wander, or were talking business. Any kind of business discussed in a place like this was not generally something one would want to overhear or be accused of overhearing.

Ally sighed lightly out of the boredom that she was now seeping into, and the little bar wench brought her the requested gin. She muttered a 'thank you' and stared down at the contents for a moment before she took a little sip. It was not the absolute worst that had ever come to cross her lips, but it was pretty low on the list of things she would order again. Her features tensed in disgust and she held out the glass for the woman to come back for.

Wonderful, she thought, now that she was more or less stuck here until Jean came along. It was not for Ally's protect that the ladies had a buddy-system thing going on, but for Jean's, as she was human and not the brightest crayon in the box. Not much would be needed for some tall and dark creature of the night with broody eyes and a solemn expression to win Jean's heart over, like some character out of an evening television drama. Chances were the creature would take her somewhere and eat her, and while she did have her faults, Ally actually liked Jean and would miss her if she died.

How anyone was enjoying this utter mess on stage was beyond her. Could men really be happy with seeing some lady bits, even when the display was terrible? The level of frustration was in par to her boredom, and to the man at her right, she asked, "Do you really find this entertaining?"

A show, an attempt to lure men and woman into forgetting that they were tossing money from their wallets. Nik hadn’t forgotten, but no money had really come to grace the stage not too far from him. The woman moved, thinking they held grace when truly they looked like nothing more then puppets being jerked around the stage. Strings tugged and plucked, making them jerk to and fro. Humans were such…graceless creatures. Stumbling, falling, tripping over themselves. Nik found a certain amusement in how pathetic it was to witness. But like so much of the human world with its laws and lack of true challenge, it began to bore him.

This was a test, a chance to see if this place could give him anything close to entertainment. Could it tempt his senses, lure his lusts, so far all that it claimed to be able to do it had failed rather miserably in. But there was little way for Nik to know it would for certain until he stepped in and gave the place a try. He didn’t have enough of the surface world experience to be able to pick out a good place, or bad, at just a glance.

Those he was willing to bet that he could find a rather…pleasing bar below ground. He was a betting man after all, a gambling sort, but that wasn’t much of a gamble now was it? More like a known to all supernaturals that had tastes such as his own. Tastes that human clubs and bars just couldn’t quite satisfy.

Men and women both were allowed entrance. A time or two he watched them file in…watched as that professional calm fell away and drooling messes took their place. Men being driven to their knees by the female form. Such weakness. Nik wasn’t so swayed, woman had their place and their uses but he hardly bent to their will or let them control, dominate, in the fashion that these men allowed. It was near enough to make him sneer. Were their bones as weak as their spines? Would they scream…beg…cry like a woman.

How quickly that sneer could turn to such a pleased little smirk.

He noticed the vampire as she entered. He could smell the death upon her skin, that taint that all vampires held no matter how much blood they stole to attempt to look human. He could feel that cold without having to be near, could hear the barely audible slow beats of her heart. The other she was with was human, filled with a racing pulse and giddy reactions. There was always a subtle difference…how humans showed and acted upon their emotions and how supernatural kind did.

Notice but he gave her little more then that, it wasn’t as though spotting another supernatural was such a rare thing was it? Perhaps it was but for Nik it was common place, even if those other supernaturals tended to be of the demon variety. That didn’t mean he lacked knowledge on other races however. Far from it. Such things were all part of his training.

Lips curled just a hint when she turned to speak to him. “I find it to be an utterly pathetic attempt to turn men into nothing more then drooling dogs.” His head tipped slightly, leaning forward to rest elbows upon his knees, his boots dropping with a dull thud that seemed to throw the dancers off their game for a moment. “The dance is far from entertaining, but watching just how pathetic these men will let themselves become, holds a certain…amusement.”

She was pleased with his response and snickered softly to herself. "You don't know how good it is to have heard you say that." Finally, someone that was not thinking with what was hidden in their pants. But she felt the need to inquire further for his thougthts on this whole act. "If you don't mind my asking, sir, but what attracted you to this place if not for the presumed allure of the women?" He might have been looking for a good time and had the unfortunate luck of happening into this place.

The outside looked like any other place might; a large large man at the door--Jean's new interest--and blackened windows. Just inside was the always appropriate neon sign that flashed "XXX" and another that had the outline of a well-endowed woman's profile, with long hair and long legs. Everything in this place was tinted red for the time being, a red and an orange of sorts, that may change when the song or the dancers did. Of course, it might be stuck this way. It was hardly the upscale gentleman's club.

Ally crossed her legs at the knee, the toe of her heeled shoe lightly grazed the wall beneath the counter that surrounded the stage. Behind her, two men moved from the back and were attempting to converse with a dancer by the name of Candy. It was always Candy, Star, Bambi, Jane, Mary, Sunny, Daisy, Glitter--a wide variety of some very common names or nouns of another kind. None of them were real, however, and the same names were probably used in every strip club in Any Town, Any Country.

"Not to judgment a man by his clothes, but you do seem to have... taste." Taste, and money, is what she alluded to. Why would a good-looking man with the dough to throw around bother to slum in some dive for the evening? There was something about him that made her especially curious. He was not human nor vampire, that much she was certain of; it was new, different, which were two things that always garnered Ally's attention.

The XXX Nikolaos had understood, though he'd not been to the surface many times he recognized the human attempts to state that sin occurred in a place. The problem was that such an...indication was rather false to a demon such as him. Sin...this was hardly a fitting display of it. More a den of pathetic weakness and sub par woman with hardly the backbone to be alluring to Nikolaos. Yes in his bloodline woman were second best creatures...but that did not mean they wanted them on their knees constantly kissing their boots. No...there was more strength to them then that or they'd never survive.

Nik had expected more from this place that held the scent of desperation and lust in the air. He was rather..dissapointed and rarely did that bode well for any. Though he was warned before leaving to behave. To heed those human laws and not draw attention. They did not want to spook Dorian before they had chance to give a friendly hello. Times like these it was difficult to not simply...show what real sin was.

"The taste of debauchery to the air." Nik responded to the inquiry with a smirk to his lips that spoke of quite the enjoyment of such. "Unfortunately for me it was only a mask to desperation." a subtle sneer to such words. There was no respect in him for weakness, for falling so quickly to the nude flesh of a woman that clothed they'd not even glance twice at.

Would these men learn if given the chance to see what fools they were being? It was doubtful. They'd grown up weak, raised by men with no backbone to become men with no backbone. So many of those sorts believed a raised fist or commanding tone made them hold strength...hardly the case. No he could see the weakness in their eyes...clear as day.

Nik smirked, eyes fixed on the vampiress before him. Not bad truly, though he preferred a bit more edge. Which could be taken in a wide variety of definitions when it came to a demon. "Tastes...not far off in that guess. But I am a man new to the city; have to take a few wild guesses on just which places would...interest me." And this one had been wrong in a sense…and right in others. Nik didn’t mind witnessing the foolishness of others but it was only entertaining for so long. Eventually that urge to show them what he saw began to creep up and did little to keep him out of the light for the time being.

“And what of you?” he questioned, leaning back into his seat with boots resting again upon the table. “It does not seem this is your typical choice of establishments.”

Ally nodded some in his omission; indeed, it was a mask, "And a very poor one at that, the equal to the liquors they have here." Neither of them had been impressed by their selection. It was not even as they were supernaturals and often those that were called such had heightened senses, one way or another. These human patrons, they came for the cheap ladies and the drinks were more of a way to lull any slips of guilt that might be on their mind, or to enhance their beauty with the sway of the drinks' effects.

But that is how it was, and how it would most likely be forever amongst men. She had no bitterness towards them; these were the same men whose past generations came into her taverns and wanted to watch the women dance on the stage or flutter around with their trays of whiskey through clouds of cigarette smoke. Thankfully so, debauchery would be something that someone would always be able to make a profit with, if they knew how to do it.

It was easy to see on her features that there was excitement for him in this new adventure. Ally loved the first year in a new place when every day could reveal something as one walked its streets. Her smile grew, but she did not voice her feelings just then. Instead, she motioned towards the door, "A friend with an interest of her own. She is sometimes blinded by one one or two emotions and loses awareness in her surroundings. I'd be saddened if something were to happen to her on these streets at night." The girl was clearly human, which might seem odd that a vampire would have a human for a friend, let alone care about their welfare.

"These places," she said with a wave of her had, indication of all places of debauchery, "are fairly similar, but there are better ones. Those that are further in the city, closer to the downtown strip, are better. If you want a somewhat odd experience, check out the Lusty Lady. It's almost like a museum of scantily-clad women dancing about. And maybe The Mercury, but that's more of a disco than a club like this." She leaned some in her chair, now more inclined to show her enthusiasm for exploration. "You'll really have to take a few days and just walk the streets. There's so many little secret places around here. I do love it here, and I've only been here a little over a year."

Lips curled a bit at the mention of the piss they'd been serving as liquor. No it wasn't anything that had pleased this demon and Nik did hate to be disappointed. This place so far, had been nothing but that. A long line of such for many he was willing to bet. It was no wonder that the place was in such a state of disarray. But often that was a draw rather then a deterrent to Nik. The less popular they were the more likely one would find something that went above and beyond simple girls dancing on stage. The cleaner places played it safe. Bouncers and distance between. The men behaved, the cops were a dial away. No...not truly Niks choice of where to linger.

"They might need some convincing on why they should try harder..." just a little reminder wouldn't hurt. Just a few choice words, Nik didn't have to lift a hand to be convincing after all. But was the place wroth it? So far that answer was more then obvious. Perhaps if the women were a bit more appealing he would have sought out the owner and made him a deal. Tsk tsk.Too bad...

"Saddened? Would be a lesson in life wouldn't it...wake up those blind eyes perhaps." Nik was a firm believer in lessons earned. If one wanted to walk about blind then they deserved it when they ran straight into something and broke their pathetic little faces. Tough love...one way to put it. More a way to weed out the weak and worthless. He turned his gaze, looking to see if he could see the foolish little human but when you were surrounded by them they really did all look the same at times. Just piles and piles of walking weak pathetic flesh.

"Lusty Lady and The Mercury." he repeated as though committing them to memory. "I'll have to take a look." maybe, or maybe he'd do as he had thought he should do from the beginning, and head straight underground. Human cities had no real lure for Nik, not like they apparently did for his father. Oh he enjoyed tearing apart a good innocent soul just like the next demon but it wasn't truly enough to keep him here. The surface was too...tame. To meek and mild. It didn't suit his tastes.

Nik laughed lightly, a deep sound that seemed to vibrate through his chest “Oh I plan to do just that. No better way to come to know a place then to explore its every dark alley.” And to play within them. But he had a few places to find…some certain people to watch.

“A year…and what has come to be your favorite find in that year hmm?”

She would not comment further on lessons to be learned and blind eyes to be opened. More often than not, the appreciation she had for and of humans was not typically shared amongst her kind, or any kind of supernatural. Even those that had been born as a human and have since been removed from such a life may carrying a strong resentment for them. Ally would resign herself and her beliefs to simply be her own, and would not argue over whose ideas or beliefs were better than another. All she could do was smile, and let it pass.

"Favorite place, that's rather difficult to say. I'm ecclectic in my tastes." Her smile broadened some, and she ran her fingertips lightly back through her hair. "The Alibi Room is a tasteful place, with excellent selections of wine and liquors. But I may be a bit biased because that's where I work." She flashed a grin and continued, "I'm absolutely fascinated with the stars and planets, so the planetarium at the science center is superb. I believe I like them as much as I like what lurks in the depths of the oceans, which is why I would have to recommend the aquarium as well. Seems I'm always more interested with what's above and below than right in the middle."

Above and below were two places that Ally would never truly be able to experience any other way. She would not make it to the skies; even flying in a plane was risky. One person lifting a window cover she could be ashes before she had a chance to run and hide in the loo. And down into the depth, well, she might be able to make it onto a submarine, someday, but she would need a good deal of light to see them. No snorkeling or scuba-diving for this little lady.

The next song came on and it was considerably louder than the last. She frowned some and without hesitation, uncrossed her legs and stood up. Ally lifted her jacket and took the four steps forward to the chair that was directly beside her conversation partner and repositioned herself. "If you like music at all, Seattle's the place to hear a lot of it. Again, don't use this place as a guide for what's out there."

Her legs crossed again, she rested an elbow on the edge of the surface and slipped the back of her hand under her chin. "It'll further depend on your tastes, of course. There's always something going on in the city, you just have to look for it. I don't believe in boredom for that reason." The way she spoke was assured, but enthusiastic, certain that there had to be something that he would find that he liked. "There is, of course, the underground, if nothing else is satisfactory."

As it was with the humans, she was not a particular fan of all that was in the underground, but she was not going to make an argument about it. It was there for a reason and that reason was that they, supernaturals, wanted it. More might even need it, for whatever was in their lives. Admittedly, from time to time, Ally went down there to buy blood, but she would rather be taken home by some delicious man with carnal desires, only to wake up alone and uncertain of what had transpired.

Nik's belief had nothing to do with simply humans. No...that was generalizing it far too much for him. Weakness was weakness. Vampire, demon, fae, otherwise...Nik couldn't stand a weak blind soul no matter what body it happened to lay in. Strength was something to be admired and weakness was something to not tolerate. Often one chose to be blind, to be foolish, to not think or attempt to be something better. Repercussions...pain...reminded them to be better. It was a necessity of life Nik believed.

"Ah so if I have the urge to get some more Seattle tips I should go by there to find you hmm?" a fact to maybe keep in mind. So far she'd been interesting enough and though Nik did far prefer other activities over random talk it wasn't all bad. Best way to gain information about a place was through it and Nik was certainly looking for information. He may have to go by at some point...see just how much she really knew. But he wasn't looking to get into the details of all that tonight. This was supposed to be his chance to...explore a bit.

Quietly he listened as she rattled on about other places she enjoyed...ones Nik had no real interest in. He wasn't on the surface to see the stars or the fish in the sea. Though at least the stars were a bit more interesting then fish. Still when it came to interests had by Nik the two wouldn't rank very high.

Comfortably Nik settled back once she'd made her way over, confident enough to take place next to him as the music in the club increased as though that would steal their attention back. It didn't. Nor did the sub par dancer on the stage gyrating this way and that with eyes on him. The plastic state of her body wasn't exactly appealing. Remove it all and she'd be a ghastly thing barley worth the blood in her veins. "I’ve heard that..." he remarked finally to the mention of music. "Perhaps I'll have to go look into that soon enough." music was something Nik could appreciate. Not as much as the music of a scream perhaps but it was at least one more...human past time that he happened to enjoy.

Depending on the kind of course.

"My tastes change from day to day....makes it a bit difficult to give suggestions doesn't it? But I'm sure a bit of wandering above, and below, will do me well. I'm sure I'll run into....something...that is able to keep my attention for a time." more like someone of course but that was all the same to Nik. A bar to keep him entertained or a person, both were enjoyed and likely near forgotten the next day. But he had to be careful with the someone’s...humans were so breakable.

That was where the underground would come in handy he was sure. He'd heard about the options available down there and a demon had needs to be fulfilled. Ones those human females just didn't often have the strength to handle.

Ally snickered softly, a grin on her face for a moment and answered, "Well, I'm fine for tips, but if you want a guide you'll have to do one of those city bus tours. Which would be a lot easier for you to try than me." Naturally, since bus tours tended to take place in the middle of the day and her skin was entirely too fair for even the slightest lick of sunlight. Even in the jest, she had an inkling that guided tours were something that would also fall onto his list of things he was less interested in.

Somewhere behind them, there was a shout, a woman and she was angry. Without much effort, Ally could take a guess that it was Jean and that her meathead new beau was probably looking at another woman or something to that effect. Oh, Jean, why did she have to pich such losers when the girl was really not all that terrible. She might do a nice farm-boy-come-to-the-city a good wife, but there seemed to be so few farmers left in this country.

She sighed lightly and when the voices persisted, she looked over her shoulder only once in their direction. Yes, Jean was mad, and he seemed like he was ignoring her completely. This would get old very, very quick.

"Oh, dear," she commented lightly, but would not get up unless it became evident that physical harm was to come to her friend. Instead, she continued with this man. "What sort of interests might you have for tomorrow, if it's possible that you could make such a prediction?" Perhaps if he shared a bit more of the specifics of those varying tastes, she might be able to give him something worthwhile to seek out.

Her tastes were rather mild in comparision to those whom she found herself amidst the company of. She would not judge a book by its cover, so to speak, but there was something about him that was a little dark, darker than the usual people she came across. What he was, she had yet to know, but she was unsure if she really wanted to find out.

"I far prefer to find my way on my own...more interesting that way. An...adventure if you will." That was hardly the reason really but it was highly doubtful that you'd find Nik on any of those bus tours. Too tame, too boring. He'd likely have to start throwing people off the buses just to stir things up a bit. Though apparently cops weren't too appreciative of that one...a pity really. The surface would be far more fun without them.

The shout made Nik turn and glance, smirking slightly for how red in the face the woman was getting. The man was doing just as Nik likely would...ignore the high pitched squeals. Though with Nik they were likely to be ended with a swift slap to the face. Not for pain so much as...point.

It was rather disappointing that it didn't come to that. Just proved that Nik was going to have to go about finding his own entertainment tonight. Everyone else seemed to be coming up rather short with their shows. Perhaps he'd steal one of these girls away...make a show out of her. Most here wouldn’t really be missed should they suddenly not make it into work the next day....or any others after it.

"Quite the tiff, common place with your friends? Looks as though you might get to play referee soon enough." he mused with a tone that spoke he didn’t quite believe the words he spoke. Compared to the fights he'd seen in hell between "lovers" this was nothing. A whisper compared to the screams that could be sounding. She wasn't even growling, not a very good sign of her anger there. But it wasn't as though he could really hold it against her could he? She was just a pathetic little human. Only so much fight to be had.

"Hmmm" a pondering briefly as he downed the contents of whatever pathetic attempt at liquor the woman had brought over to him. "How about something...wild. Does that spur any particular suggestions?" what a broad word that was. Wild meant something different for everyone. And for Nik wild often meant something blood scented and possibly containing a bit of fight from a playmate that had some strength about them. Yes it was pleasing to overtake the weak but really Nik was the sort that enjoyed a challenge.

From what he could tell so far of this one, he wouldn’t be surprised at all that her tastes didn’t quite run in the same ways as his own. Many that he came across didn’t share his brand of fun. But for everyone that didn’t…there was someone that did. Not just demons of course, though Nik did believe they had some of the highest appreciations for pain and pleasure.

Having hell in ones veins did that.

"Eventually," Alphonsine remarked about Jean and the meathead. Jean would come barrelling over soon enough and ask that they leave, which they would, and they could get a taxi to Jean's and then to Ally's. It was still an early night but the regular haunts that she would have enjoyed were probably already closed, even the ones that stayed open after-hours for their patrons that could only move about in the darkness. No sense in limiting one's business to daylight hours then they could make extra in the late night.

Wild was something different for everyone, indeed, and while Ally liked to do some wild, crazy, even stupid things from time to time, her version might be drastically different than his. There were not a lot of dangerously or violently wild things that Ally engaged in, simply because it was not her taste and she often found violence to be unnecessary. The last remotely wild thing she had done was at one of the night clubs when they had Body Paint night. Everyone stripped down to virtually nothing--or some sported nothing at all and with the density of the crowd, it was hard to pick them all out--and people were splashed and splattered with a special paint that glowed in the blacklights. There was a great negative about the blacklights in how they highlighted teeth so drastically. Those were not typically something to which she wanted attention.

"Theme nights at clubs are about as wild as I get, but if you're particuarly into... an adventure, as you said," she said began carefully, "beneath the Théâtre du Macabre is Le Chabanais. It's quite elegant, though that's typically what draws its patrons. Something of a place to live and play out your fantasies. Anything can be bought there, if you have the money for it." She had heard things about what all went on down there and it was certainly not her sort of place. "How does it go... isn't the saying for Hell, the farther down you go, the worse it is? I suppose you could say the farther into Le Chabanais you go, the darker, the intensity... It's very different from most places you'll come across in the city."

She looked down a moment before she met his eyes again. "Naturally, there's nothing like it above ground. Far too much attention could be drawn and that doesn't sit well with people." Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Jean as she weaved her way through the back tables, chairs, and other plastic waitresses.

"Ally! Ally, he's such a fucking loser. I wanna go. Can we go, please?" Jean's eyes were red as she had cried a little out of her anger for whatever stupid thing it was that the two hard gotten into a row about this time. She was an average looking woman, with short brown hair and brown eyes. There was nothing distinctive about her, not in the way that Alphonsine was different. Yes, she was human, and reeked of weakness. "Oh, um, sorry, I didn't realize..." She had no idea if Ally and this guy were talking or talking-talking, as the use of one word said twice somehow meant that whatever was happening was more than typical.

“Eventually looks as though it will be fairly soon.” Nik retorted with a smooth smirk to his lips that spoke he was more amused by the situation then anything. Such tiffs over such meaningless things really. Such tears for something that would no longer matter tomorrow. Humans were so very…dramatic really. They thought their short little lives should mean far more then they did to the world. Not just to another…no to everyone. All about them really…they never did see well beyond themselves. That is what made it so easy for supernaturals to live among them undetected. Of course Nik was one of the many that believed hiding was really something best left to the past.

Though perhaps that was simply his love of war speaking…a nasty demon trait really.

Wild didn’t always mean violent with Nik…it was just more often then not it did. He had little reason to deny his nature after all, no he was taught to embrace it and feed it from the moment he was born. Never deny yourself anything that you have strength enough to capture and take. Women, power, it mattered little what it was…if you wanted it you took it. If you fell for it…then you obviously weren’t strong enough to try to take it in the first place. The surface world made that…mentality a bit tricky. But Nik was always up for a good challenge.

“Nothing more then that? A pity…a bit of extreme reminds a person that they are alive.” And he was willing to bet she had a rather pretty scream…. Lips smirked at the thought though it would seem instead that they were smirking for her suggestion, which did appeal to him none the less. “Ah…fantasies…a nice choice of words.” But an ill fitting one as nothing was simple fantasy for NIk. No play, no safe words. His games were as he dictated and if that was heaven or hell for another…that didn’t much concern him. So long as he enjoyed it the other party getting pleasure from it was simply a side thought, barely even taken into consideration really.

“A saying based upon truth. Though in hell you don’t have to go digging deep to find that worse” but the deeper you went the more piercing the screams of the damned became and those screams…those pleasing near moan worthy screams…could drive even demons mad if they listened too long. “Though to most in hell…the worse the better.” All a matter of how you viewed things. “But perhaps I’ll find my way there…see just how dark it really can go.” Compared to hell it was doubtful it would match. But it was interesting to watch people try.

Off to the side the fit throwing humans was rushing. He could hear the frantic beat of her heart and smell the tears upon her cheeks. He could near taste them in the air…it was tempting to entertain the thought of sweeping her off her feet. Whispering words of how not all men were so cruel. But the vampires near by had too deep an attachment. Best to not stir up trouble…just yet at least.

Nik could only behave for so long really. It simply wasn’t his strong suit. “It’s quite alright.” Nik responded, flashing that oh so charming boyish smile. “Friends in need come before interesting conversation.” Interesting enough that he lingered. But he was ready to go and find somewhere with a bit more fire to its atmosphere.

There was something about him that did not sit well with Ally. Every creature had a certain darkness to them, even humans, but this one seemed to have something that she could not quite determine... It was not the fear of the unknown, per say. She had walked the Earth for some time, not as long as others of course, but long enough that she thought she might have met just about any kind of creature there might be. Others, Ally had only heard stories of them and they were typically not ones she would ever want to be a part of.

Hell; there were times that she had questioned the reality of Heaven and Hell, the way the Christians put it at least. She had understood that there were creatures that had both risen and fallen from these places and of them, she was uncertain where she and the others like her had come from. They could do some awful things, but so could humans, and as far as anyone knew, humans would forever remain in the middle. What would happen to her soul when her body ended, Ally did not know and could not ever really be sure until it happened. But from what she understood of Hell, that was not the place that she wished to spend eternity.

Ally rose from her seat again and lifted her coat off of the chair. "I hope you find what you're looking for, here. Give the city a fair shot, but if it doesn't suit," and she gave a bit of a shrug. It happened, sometimes, that a city just did not fit a person. That was why she took so long to attempt to settle into one if she was unsure of how it would feel to her. There were plenty of corners and alleyways she had yet to venture into, and she would probably resign from that curiousity. Even before they were entered, one could smell while was in the darkness. And that sort of darkness made the vampire uneasy.

Jean sighed and crossed her arms after she wiped under her eyes. Her mascara had run a little and it was just another thing to get her frustrations going. She began to move away from the pair before Ally had readied herself. "Sorry for cutting our conversation sort, but, here's to a chance encounter later." It was doubtful, but in a city like this, not impossible. A plastic waitress almost ran into her with a tray full of opened beer bottles and she side-stepped her before it was too late. "And not in here." Now that Jean seemed finished with this guy, there was little reason for them to return.

With a little wave, Ally moved to follow her friend to the door, past the now ex-boyfriend, and into the street. "Sorry, Ally, but, oh my God, he was being such an asshole. Did I ruin something for you back there?" No, Jean was assured; the man back there was not the kind that you wanted to bring home.
