( 1 ) REVIEWS. Ecks is a writer by nature. Being next to dead broke and unintentionally nomadic at the moment, he will be picking up whatever needs to be written. Every paper or magazine has to have someone check people and places out, yes? It's great that we have so many places to work with, but in particular, at least Chroma and the Barking Spider Tavern have characters attached to them. I also see that there are some musicians and artists. Anyone playing shows or having a spot in a gallery would also be great.

( 2 ) INVESTIGATING. He might be wrapped up in his own internal dramas, but Ecks isn't completely oblivious to the world around him. There is something going on in the city, though he won't know what. The fact that creatures people won't take too kindly to his snooping around won't dissuade him, either. Two possibilities I can see with this already include Ecks behind hired as a "spy". One route to take would be that someone could use him to look into their enemy's business and he would find things out one way or another, or someone could have him chasing ghosts just to keep him busy. Why not kill him and make it easier? Enh, why not see what he's made of. Keep him around for shits.

( 3 ) REINCARNATION. I chose this PB for a couple reasons. One, when I write someone, I like to actually be able to hear their voice in my head so I know how I can make it mine. Hope that made sense to at least one person. Two, Johnny's career is incredibly diverse in characters, and a good handful of those are period films. I believe that it's very possible for people to have past lives. It would be easy to pick a time period and weave histories and past lives together. He could have been a vampire that died early in his time, a werecreature, a human killed by a vampire, whatever.

( 4 ) A FRIEND. It may or may not be easy for him to befriend someone at this point. People either act out or turn inward when something's happened to them, that's just how people deal, and he's turned inward a good bit. He's become a heavier drinker which is great for anyone that works at a bar or also has the love for the booze. There will have to be someone he's civil with and I'm not too picky. He kind of does what he wants, anyway.

( 5 ) ROMANCE. First, let me LOL at the idea of Ecks acting in any remotely romantic manner. The most romantic he might get is letting a lady have the first cigarette out of his pack. Okay, maybe he's not bad that, but right now, women are bitches and all they do is take your money and your balls. Period. If someone wants to try to wriggle their way into his heart, by all means. It might be easier than even I think. Who knows, I'm just throwing it all out there.



And of course, if anyone has any other ideas, I'm game.
