Where did you find out about this community?- random searching, huzzah! Do you have any experience RPing?- Yes. I was part of the OMG!hp harry potter roleplay community on greatestjournal where I roleplayed Ernie and Terry Boot. :)
Character's Background- Ernie was born an only child to a pureblood family, ninth generation. His parents both work for the Ministry of Magic, just like their parents before them. The Macmillans, even though pureblood, side with Dumbledore and against Voldemort's forces, trying to always to do the honest and just thing. Perhaps this is why the majority of them were Housed Hufflepuff.
Even as an only child, Ernie had plenty of company in the form of cousins and friends. He was always an affable kid, cheerful and smiling, causing most people to look past his somewhat pompous exterior.
He's an average student, decent looking, and an amazingly loyal friend. Since joining Hogwarts, Ernie found Muggles and their lives to be fascinating, and loves learning everything about them.
Why do you think you'd be good as this character?- Because everyone loves comic relief, and I love playing it out. :)

Sample Entry-
Ernie reclined on a couch in the Hufflepuff common room, a stack of books in front of him; Potions, Herbology.. and other books he never remembered buying. What he was really focused on was the notebook in front of him.
"Hmmm.." he thought out loud, quill tapping on the paper. "It doesn't quite look like Dumbledore. Oh well!" He grinned and kept on drawing..
He paused for a second as his stomach growled. "Merlin, is it dinner time already?" he muttered to himself, tossing his notebook on top of the stack of books, and practically dashing out of the common room.
"Oof!"
Toppling over some random Ravenclaw firstie and sending them both sprawling, books flew from the poor little girl's arms. "Oi, sorry there kiddo," he grinned. Quickly gathering up the books and depositing them into the girl's lap - she was still on the floor, wide eyed in either shock or embarrasement - he took off again towards where the smell of food was growing stronger. "Clear the way! Hungry Hufflepuff coming through!" he shouted with a wild smile, arm thrown out in front of him like a football player charging down the field.
