Character's Name- Cho Chang Character's House and Year- 5th Ravenclaw Character's PB (Played-By ie: Actor/Actress)- Katie Leung
Where did you find out about this community?- I play Hannah. Do you have any experience RPing?- Too much to write here.
Character's Background- Though Cho has a Chinese heritage, she was actually born in London. Her father is the Chinese liason to the Ministy of Magic, which is how they ended up in Britain. Her mother stayed home and raised both Cho and her brother Shing. Shing is about five years older than Cho and went to school in China. Growing up, her family often visited their family and kept to strict Chinese tradition. When her Hogwarts letter arrived, Cho was certain that her parents weren't going to allow her to attend because they had always talked about moving her back home for school. However, growing up British, for all intents and purposes, Cho begged to be allowed to go to school with the children she'd grown up getting to know through her father's work parties. Finally, they consented and Cho was on her way. Upon her arrival to Hogwarts, Cho was sorted into Ravenclaw.
She found that some things at her school were similar to those Shing had always talked about while home on holiday. Other traditions were completely different. As she learned more and more about being a good witch, she was extremely glad to have her childhood friend Marietta with her. Her outgoing personality allowed her to quickly make friends with the other members of her house. She also found that she enjoyed flying more than she would have imagined. During her third year she tried out for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and was named reserve seeker. The next year, the postion was hers. Other than friendships and Quidditch Cho is rather involved in her academics. She always strives to make the best grades possible while being secretly glad that the studying comes easy. Her electives include Care of Magical Creatures, Muggle Studies, and Ancient Runes.
Why do you think you'd be good as this character?- I have played Cho before both as a student and an adult. When I played her at Hogwart Life it was post Cedric and I played up her depressive state to the point that it pulled her away from others. I would love to have a chance to play her as the bubbly girl we were presented with prior to Cedric's death.

Sample Entry (1st and/or 3rd person; Please make it longer than a paragraph)- Cho was sitting at a table in the corner of the Ravenclaw common room. She had her stone runes spread out on the end table beside the chair in which she was seated. A pad of parchment on her lap and a quill in her hand, Cho drew one rune at a time from the table without looking and wrote down its meaning before placing it back into the bag. She found that random exercises such as this helped her keep her reading skills sharp.
Glancing around the room, she noticed one of the first years watching her. "Would you like to ask a question?" she inquired of the young girl?
"Really?" the girl quipped as she pulled her chair closer to where Cho was seated. "You'd do a reading for me?"
"Sure," Cho smiled at the innocence of the youngster. "What would you like to know?"
"Is it true that Professor Snape never washes his hair?" the girl asked with such complete seriousness, almost a quaver of fear in her voice.
"Let's see what the next one says," Cho reached over and pulled the next one from the table. "Ahh, Laguz, the water rune. I would venture to guess that means he does."
"Then why's it always so greasy looking?" the young girl asked in a hushed voice.
Leaning in toward the girl, Cho replied. "Now that's a question I don't think even the runes can answer." When she finished the statement, both girls erupted into a massive giggling fit.
