hurricane relief?
is bush doing a good job dealing with hurricane katrina relief? and is his vacation to camp david this weekend justified?
simply, no. sure, he's finally stepped up to the plate and started handing money and such, but there's a lot more he could be doing. i understand that his job is hard and that there's a lot of things going on, but more national gaurds sent to the area would be good, and more food and water sent to the area, as well as other relief areas like the astrodome would be good. however, i should give credit where credit's due, and things are running more smoothly this week than the past weeks and i'm happy that business owners are being let back in. but his vacation is really not acceptable. some people would argue that he needs a break, because his job is hard, but really, he's the president! of COURSE his job is hard. that doesn't mean he can just lay back. argh...and things are not perfect yet on the gulf coast, and there's tons of stuff going on over in the middle east that needs to be taken care of, and i really don't think at this point that a vacation is neccessary. i don't know anyone who gets as much vacation time as our dear ol' president...
but that's just me. what do y'all think?
