A Song for XX

I am now officially 24 years old. :D

...Which is actually kind of scary. I know saying this is really cliché, but the years are going by so fast.

Anyway, I've had a great day. I got a decent haul, me & Euan spent most of the day with Jem, and we had a lovely meal out at one of the local Italian restaurants.

My haul included the usual stuff: a game, a DVD/CD set, DVDs, Blu-Rays, books, clothes, jewellery, moneys, a gift card, and chocolate.

Anyway, I'm tired, and enjoying Katamari Forever, so I'll keep this short.

Finally, a release date for The Descent Part 2! \o/

Well, according to IMDb, it's December 2nd, but according to a link on Wikipedia, it's the 4th. Eh, not that much of a difference. I remember when the original release date was supposedly something like March. XD

Speaking of which, I really need to get on with completing my mood theme for the first movie.

In other news, I seem to get headaches if I play Mirror's Edge for long periods at a time, so I've stopped for a little while. Either that, or I'm just tired.

I've also started to get back into an icon-making mood - after several freaking months - so I think I'll go make some in a bit.

Jem came over for a few hours today as we hadn't seen each other for a week or so. She showed us her spiffy purple ukulele that she's currently teaching herself to play, we had a few rounds on Tekken 6, and watched Serenity. I have now seen all of Firefly at last! :D

I also started playing Mirror's Edge, and I suck at the pipe-balancing. XD I'm not very far into it, though, so I will get better at it. Hopefully.

As for Tekken 6, I now completely understand why everyone finds Scenario Campaign's "Nightmare Train" stage so bloody difficult. I still haven't got past it, so I'm busy farming for better items on other stages.

However, the opening dialogue to that stage, when playing as Dragunov, cracks me up:

Alisa: "You look pleased. Do you like trains?"
Dragunov: "?"
Alisa: "I am starting to detect facial expressions. I feel like I'm making huge strides here."

LOL, "do you like trains" WTF. So utterly random. No wonder the poor man was so confused. And she's so happy at detecting actual facial expressions. *sporfle* XD

I'm imagining her cheerfully presenting him with a train set for Christmas now. What is wrong with my brain? XD

In other news, my head hurts and I'm out of painkillers. Blaaah.

Just been reading up on some info regarding Valkyria Chronicles 2.

( Cut for those who don't want to be exposed to a minor spoiler ) Noooo! ;_;

But they're including Welkin, Alicia and Selvaria as unlockable characters, which is a nice touch (the latter being a pre-order only bonus). Selvaria's appearance is highly unlikely to be canonical, though, ( Cut for spoilers )

I've still gotta get myself a PSP. I've been wanting to play Silent Hill Origins and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops/Portable Ops + for freaking ages.

Don't you just hate sore losers who kick you out of an online Tekken 6 session because you beat them fair and square?
