Who: Remus Lupin and Sirius Black
What: A very slow conversation about the circle of doors Remus found and St. Patrick's Day Town
Where: The Forest
When: After he's been kicked out of St. Patrick's Day Town
Warning: Drunkness?
Remus had been relatively shut in and quiet about his feelings on everything that was occurring in far too rapid of succession. Barely had he had the time to grasp the descent into another world, a world of frights and legends, before other weary travelers had informed him of the future. Some aspects were joyous, his future as an academic professor at Hogwarts and the birth of a child between Lily and James for example, but many were not. Remus was fully capable of reading everything that was written in the journals and his stomach was doing flips for days over the passages.
James and Lily gone.
Sirius being spoken of so vilely.
Peter spoken of as though he were the most hated man alive.
There was rarely any joy to be had in any of the glimpses and it was far too much to take at once. He wished for the comforts of the flat, to wrap a comforter around him, and believe this all to be nothing more than a dream. But the dream hadn't come to an end. He was still sleeping with a back against a tree and Padfoot pressed against him for warmth.
That morning, he thought of trying to find a way to leave. A gateway of some sort, perhaps, that could lead him back to his proper point in time and proper home. If he could find it, he would turn back and drag Sirius with him, but it was a matter of looking first. The discovery of the circle of trees was intriguing but none gave an indicator of home. Etchings of various symbols were upon all the trees and curiosity kicked in, forcing him to pull upon the door of a clover.
Many hours later, with many drinks inside him and after discovering his ability to write in the journal once again, he was forced away from the town based around St. Patrick's Day, still holding onto a mug of lager in his hand as he stumbled into the forest. "Siriussssssssssssss," he said in a loud yet hushed tone. He had left him alone for far too long.
