Season: Summer 2007
Month: Late June

Announcements:

Back to School! We hope you had an enjoyable vacation.

The administration extends a warm welcome to all returning students and staff as well as all to newcomers. Veteran students please show courtesy to those you know to be new on campus. And to those recent arrivals, if you have not already done so please report to the office for information regarding rooming, class schedule, and your assigned guide teacher.

Please be advised schedules have changed quite drastically from the last term. It is up to you to determine that your own schedule is correct. As always we do not seek perfection from our students in the form of GPA’s, what we do ask for is participation and a sincere desire to learn. Our teachers, all more than qualified, are here, not for the pay, which many will tell you is lousy, but as a service to the young people of supernatural society. They wish to see you succeed in whichever path your life may take you. It is up to you to take full advantage of the opportunities these halls and our venerable staff, provide.

A few reminders…
Students under the age of sixteen who have been at halcyon less than one full school year, may not leave campus except with an authorized chaperone. This may be an older student, who is entitled to leave campus alone, but they must be authorized to escort on a case by case basis.

Those qualified to leave the school are encouraged to do so, but please remember that Bacaloa is an island populated with supernaturals. As such it is likely a drastic change from wherever you came from. There is a small village a few miles from Halcyon, a decent walk if you're inclined or you may take advantage of the taxi cabs, with Halcyon picking up the tab. There you can find shops of all kinds, bars, a movie theater, a hotel, and even a small mall. Perhaps most interesting however, is the Imaginarium, a game emporium of sorts.

NOTE to Werecreatures: Do NOT attempt to shift outside the school grounds. There are many farmers and ranchers in the area who will not hesitate to take whatever means necessary to protect their livlihood.

Remember the curfew for students under eighteen is 10 PM on weekdays and midnight on Friday and Saturday. No such limits for those over eighteen. Students are not to hang out in other houses. This is for your safety. Also, male and female should keep to their own floors. Again, doing so is in keeping with propriety and the safety and well being of all students.

The librarian is seeking assistance in the form of one or two students with good records over the age of twenty one. Please report to the library if you are interested.

FULL MOON this Friday Night. All weres are to report outdoors to the designated ares before sundown. All other students are to remain indoors the entire night. Full curfew in affect for all non-were students.
